IIITA - pros and cons

The course curriculum is highly relevant. It has been designed according to the current industry standards. There are no useless subjects in the course. Curriculum includes subjects like fee and netwrok analysis which helps to prepare us for real life electronic companies. The frequency of the exams is like twice a month. Exams are moderate to difficult level. There can be some improvements in the curriculum like increasing the number of lab classes for practical subjects like psp and fee. The labs are also great as they have all the necessary devices.

The intership opportunities here are very good. Thanks to the training and placement cell 50% of the batch gets internship. Many big companies including MAANG nvidia samsung etc. these companies provide 3 months as well as 6 mknths internship. Stipends upto 1 lac per month are provided by them. Positions like sde software engineer etc are interviewed for by these companies. After Internships many companies also provide with pre placement offers.

The main highlight of this college is its training and placement cell. It makes sure that all the students are placed with a good package each year. It has a stellar record since the last 10 years. Students become eligible for internships in 3rd year and for placements in the 4th year. Last year about 91% of students were placed. Big companies like google Microsoft apple nvidia samsung Zomato ets visit the campus every year for placements. These big companies make about 5-6 offers every year. The highest package last year was 1.2cr rupees and the average package was about 25 lac rupees. My personal plans after getting this degree are to pursue higher education. This college also has connections with several foreign institutes. They will help us for higher education.

The total fees for 4 years Btech course including mess and hostel is about 1210000 rupees. The first year fee comes out to be 2.5 lac inclusive of hostel and mess facilities. There are some extra fees that u need to pay once in the first semester. This extra fee is about 26630 rupees. The tuition fee per semester for the first year is 79000. This tuition fee increases by 10% every year. There are various scholarships that you can apply. The college administration itself tell you about the scholarship and you can avail it with their help. For OBC,SC,St category the fees is a bit less. The fees for these categories comes out to be about 470818 rupees for 4 years.

There are 3 fests in one year. The annual cultural fest is known as effervescence. It happens in the months of October to November. It's a 3 day event where different artists come each day to perform. The technical fest is known as aparoksh. It is a big event where many hackathons are held. It takes place in February every year. It's a great way to improve your skills. The sports fest is known as asmita which takes place in March-April. It's a big event where people from various institutions take part. The classroom are fully air-conditioned. They are equipped with projectors. The labs are also well equipped with all the necessary equipment. Sports facilities are great. There are 2 grounds. There is one cricket pitch and one volleyball court. Each hostel has its own badminton court. There is a all season swimming pool. There are 5 student run clubs namely rangtarangini,nirmiti, virtuosi,genetic X, sarvasva. These are drama,art,musical,danceand literary clubs respectively. These clubs are really good and help in improving the scoial life on the campus.

The hostel is very good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The wasrooms are regularly cleaned. There are 4 washrooms on each floor. The mess is fully air-conditioned. The menu changes after evey 2-3 minths and consists of food items from every part of India. There is a sweet dish for dinner everyday. The taste of the food is decent and food is edible. Hostel will be allotted to you when you come for physical reporting after Jossa allocation. The hostel allotment process is quite easy and can be completed in 15-20 minutes Overall the hostel and mess is very good.

I got this college through kosaa. This college considers jee mains rank. I chose this college over the others because of its excellent academic and great placement cell. This college is competing with some of the top iits in terms of placement and research. The cutoff for btech in ECE was 8.3k rank and for IT it was 5.4k rank in jee mains. This college takes students through JEE Mains only. The admission process for this college is quite easy. Once your seat is confirmed by kosaa you just have to visit this college and the rest is taken care of by the authorities. You just need to have proper documents. If you have been admitted int hese college through some category then u need to have a proper category certificate. Without proper documents the admission will not happen. The admission process takes about 1-2 hours including the wait time. The admission process is 4-5 days long and you can come on any one of these days and complete your admission. After admission you will receive you hostel room and you can immediately shift into it.

The faculty here is very good. They have great minds. They are people who have excelled in thier fields. They are great teacher. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:25. This number is really great. The students can approach the faculties with great ease. They are always available in their cabins and allow us to ask out doubts at any time. In each semester we have 2 exams( mid semester and end semester). Along with these 2 we have 2 quizzes for each subject which can be taken at any time. Every exam about 5-10 students fail the exam. The exams are moderate to difficult level. They can be passed after a decent amount of studying. The course curriculum is highly relevant to the industry standards. Overall the academic ls has been designed in a great manner.

The nightlife is not that great in the campus. The shops close early and there is nonplace to eat after 10:30 pm. Around the campus there are no place to hangout or snjoy with friends. There is a gym in every hostel. The gym is very good it has all the necessary machine. Gym opens at about 7 in the morning and closes after 12 at night. Library is in the campus and opens at 10 in the morning and closes at 10:30 at night. These is cafeteria named Mr dewsis in the campus. The food choice there is decent but it also closes by 10 pm. The most famous hangout spots in campus would be around the amul shop and in Mr dewsis. It's completely safe to roam in the campus late at night but not outside the campus
