Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in my college in 2024 has seen incremental progress, yet it often fall short in term of relevance and comprehensiveness. While the curriculum typically includes foundational knowledge and domain specific subjects. Although laboratory work and project assignments are part of the structure, they are frequently outdated or insufficient to simulate real world challenges.
Internships Opportunities
Baba Institute of Technology and Sciences (Bits) Vizag offers students robust internship opportunities through its training and placement cell. The institution collaborates with leading companies like Amazon, Deloitte, and Byju's to provide real-world exposure. There are various projects done from software to hardware in and out of the campus. For example developing a firewall systems for major companies databases, developing a functionable campus RoboCop, creating an AI sensored security systems , etc
Placement Experience
The training and placement program in Baba Institute of Technology and Sciences ( BITS) Vizag, are structured for successful career paths. The college has dedicated career development cell that focuses on enhancing students employibility. Bits Vizag's placement cell has partnerships with reputed companies like Amazon, TCS, Infosys and HCL. The placement rate is approximately 65%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees year I paid during my course is 90k-1Lk per year i.e, 45k per semester later it increased to 50k per semester for my fellow juniors. The fee structure is divided as Tuition fee which is around 30k per semester and the caution deposit fee is around 5k-7k per year. The development fee is 10k per semester. Lab fee is 15k and the Registration fee was 5k which was excluded separately as it would be paid at the time of admission.
Campus Life
Verve 2k21, Gyaan 2k22, Yaadein 2k23, Sahasra 2k24 were the names of the annual and technical fests which mostly happened in the months of May and November. There are quite a large range of books and journals available in the library. They are smart classrooms and laboratories that provide large facilities and technological provisons within the classroom.The were many Cricket and Football tournaments held in the span of every 3 months and also many extra curricular activities offered on campus
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are good compared to others, were it has a room with 4 people with 4 double cot beds, a fan, a table and a chair The review for meal quality is decent and the menu consists of mostly South Indian varieties. The registration process is done as same while taking the admission in college. if not hostel the rented rooms in the locality are also good with decent rates
Admission
I chose Baba Institute Technology and Sciences(Bits) Vizag, for it better infrastructure, experienced faculty and industry - aligned cirriculum. Yes, in that case, yes I was rejected for 1-2 institutions as the seats were already full. But the others were comparatively far from my residential point which would 5 times much compared to the one near my residential point. The admission process was same as the other institutions. I got into through the state wide exam known as EAMCET which is specifically for entrance in engineering institutions.
Faculty

The course structure in my college is typically divided into 8 semsters over four years, with each semester spanning around 16- 18 weeks. Core subjects are introduced in the initial semsters, followed by specialized courses in later years.
Interview Experience

The admissions process at BITS Vizag invovles evaluating candidates based on their performance in entrance examinations such as AP EAPCET for undergraduate programs and AP PGECET or GATE for postgraduate programs. ?There is no mandatory requirment for group discussions or interviews for engineering admissions at Bits Vizag. ?The institution aims to keep its selection process transparent and straightforward to attract students
Night Life
The night life around Baba Institute of Technology and Sciences is diverse and vibrant, offering something for everyone. Famous hangout places are Hotel Novotel and Infinity Bar & kitchen, offering rooftop dining with stunning views of the coastline and live music. The outing timing for the hostel is from 6 to 9 in the weekdays
