GSL DENTAL COLLEGE

The course curriculum is quite easy in the first year covering mostly the subjects studied in our intermediate. The formation and fabrication of the teeth and the processes influenced me to choose this course.the frequency of the examination is three times in the college and then we have university examination.the timing provided is around 3 hours. And the difficulty level is low. Improvement in the curriculum can take place by faculty by making interactive classes.

The college itself provides the internship opportunities for around a year. Even though no stipened in given to the students. They are able to gain quite good knowledge and guidance around the faculty.

I paid around 300000 in my first year for the tution fees from management quota and for government quota it was 135000 .I joined the college under the management quota. So the total fees in my first year including the other expenses went to 3.5 lakhs. There is security deposit of around 20000. The registration fees for getting into the college was around 10k. And then in order to get the allotment letter we had to pay 45k. The admission fees is 50k. Library fees constitute around 10k. Then around 5k were spent on the lab instruments. For records and manual we again have to pay 1500 in first year. The fees for second year is 3 lakhs and 10k for library fees for management quota. And for govt quota it is 24k. It stays the same for rest of the years. There are government aided scholarships provided to the students. There are scholarship provided for the army background students.the instruments and manuals for the second year would cost you around 30k. All the instruments and manuals are being provied by the college itself. So the total amount for the course constitute around 15 lakhs for management quota and 5 lakhs for government quota.

There are various events conducted in the college campus. Decinnial fest is organised and every year in march another fest is being conducted. Various campaigns and awareness drives are also being conducted in the campus. All the books and joyrnals are available on the library of the college. And the college also encourages students to get involved into the sports activities all sorts of grounds like basketball court badminton court gym are being provided in the college. The national social service club is being actively run in the college. This plays a major role in bringing out the kindness in students.

All the types of room with triple sharing double sharing are available. Ac rooms are also being provided within triple and double sharing. One bed, matress and study table and a chair are being provided in the college hostel. Meal quality is okayish.In order to get into the college hostel we have to consult the administration office. The cost of hostel is around 1,75000 years.

I applied to sibar dental college and also got the approval. I chose this college due to its modern and advanced technology. The admission process includes appearance in the neet examination. The student should secure the minimum cutoff and apply for counselling. The overall admission process is quite simple and easy

The faculty is very quite educated with minimum of 10 years of experience.they are quite friendly with the students and help whenever needed. They also offer one to one interactions and counselling when needed. So the curriculum constitutes around 12 months. In first year they will be covering biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, dental anatomy and oral anatomy. Three terms of examination takes place. In each term practicals are also conducted. The examination takes place for about 70 marks written and 30 practicals. In second year they will cover pharmacology, pathology, dental materials, . There are around 150 faculty for about 500students.

There are various cafeteria present in the campus such as oasis. The sugarcane jucie centre is present . And a small grocery and snacks shop is present in the college premises.the night life is quite peaceful in the campus hostel.and students are supposed to get into the hostel by 9 at night. The locality is very safe to roam around provided with security guards.
