Life at ANJAC

So the Curriculum is so relevant to the course. It starts with the basics such as Cell biology and histochemistry at first semester then has lot of papers such as Classical Genetics, Biochemistry, Biostatistics, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology and Immunotechnology, Stem Cells Biology, Plant Tissue Culture, Inustrial Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Nano biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, environmental biotechnology and Medical coding as a Self employment course. The syllabus contain essential topics and it gets us ready for the real world. It includes lab where we can individually perform all the experiments and the staffs supports us. The kab facility really pulled me to this college as I like practical works more. The exam are conducted in cyclic manner and it also has quiz exam where one words are asked. It contains tricky one words and also counts 5 marks of internal marks. The exams contain syllabus questions and also basic knowledge questions that counts for good. Marking scheme is good and credits are given based on CO levels and other participations

After fifth semester the students are eligible for placements. According to biotechnology the Master degree students are preferred by the companies. They offer package of 200000/- per annum at the beginning. Our college also offer Self employment courses for students. Biotechnology students are preferred for medical coding jobs and laboratorical jobs. Our college also counts for dozens of students who work at TMB bank. Students of any major can write TMB exam and get through it. They provide nearly 45000/- per month. Nearly 60% of students of all major gets placed

Biotechnology is a self supportive course in ANJAC. It includes six semester fee. So, during the admission we have to pay the first semester fee that includes all book fees,lab fees and all. The first semester fees will be around 21,000/-.Hostel students must pay hostel fees a deposit and monthly mess fees. There's seperate fees for college transportation if you need. So the even semester will come around 17,000/-. For the odd semester we have to pay fees of 19,000 and even semester fees counts around 17,000. Before each semester exam students must pay exam fees that starts from 300/- at first semester and ends up with 2500/- at final semester. There are lot of scholarships supported by the college. They even encourage the students to apply for all government scholarships.

Tbis college has a beautiful environment. It has a lot of celebrations. Each department conducts intercollegiate events every year. We have Traditional day during pongal time. We celebrate College day and Sports day at February. Various departments celebrate each Special days and conduct competition. We have a lot of clubs in the college. They take students out for community service, awareness rising and field activities. The library is so large and has all books that you search for. It has a wide range of departments ranging from language to complex philosophical books, whatever you search for you can find here. The college has a Fine arts department that encourages student's extra talents like dance, singing, instrumentals,acting and all. Our college also encourages and voice out for traditional arts such as Karagattam, oyillatam, kummi and silambam. Every department has their requirement and technological advancements. Our students often participates in various meetings and outshine the people.

I was a late admitted student. My sister studied her from her experience I got to know about this college and its facilities. This is the only college around Virudhunagar and Madurai that psrovides proper lab facilities. I was chosen based on my mark in Biology. Your marks will speak for you during admission. The students who completed 12th board exams can apply for our college and students who top and having good percentage marks are selected.

Tne faculty members are friendly,strict and professional.The college has enough faculty members for ach department.They are highly skilled and knowledgeable.The staffs teach not only syllabus but also various related knowledgeable stuffs.They encourage students to wode their knowledge and use the lab. There is two internal exams and a model exam then a final semester exam. One internal exam is conducted on evert Wednesday's first hour. Two best from internals and model is taken along with assignment marks,quiz exam marks and tutorial/seminar marks are evaluated. The total internal marks counts for 40 marks that includes all those above mark datas. The semester exam mark alone counts for the rest of 60 marks. The curriculum is so relevant to the course. They flourish you with not only syllabus but also everything about your course.

The college timing is 10:00Am to 4:00 Pm. The college itself has a canteen, store and places for students to wond out. After college there's a lot of restaurants and bakeries around the colleges to hang out. Inside the college students always chill out at roundanas and resting rooms. The locality is obviously safe to wander around at night but the hostelles are not allowed to leave the hostel after 6:00 pm. The hostellers enjoy their hostel life as they are surrounded by beautiful environment and peace.
