Likes
- the girls:boys ratio is around 1:3 in cse* (depends on class to class) [there are 4 classes in cse shift 1]
- the timing for shift 1 are too early in winter season as it is freezing cold sometimes
- the faculty are very experienced (some teachers have 20+years of experience)
Dislikes
- the classrooms are very hot ac are there only on 6th floor and labs all other classrooms don't have ac
- the infrastructure is old the classrooms are just like that of school
- 75 percent attendance is mandatory atleast in 1st sem
Course Curriculum Overview
the subjects taught in 1st sem cse are as follows applied mathematics 1 applied physics 1 applied chemistry electrical science manufacturing processes communication skills engineering graphics as you can see there is no coding subject in 1st sem for cse branch i think that the ip university should introduce branch specifc subjects from 1st sem itself so that the students learn coding and are ready for internshifps from the second year itself.
Internships Opportunities
The students go for internships in many companies like isro, google, microsoft, drdo, amazon, tcs, wipre etc the stipends offered are from 0 rupees per month to 1.25 lakhs per month depending on the company and your skillset
Placement Experience
The highest package was around 1.7 crore per annum and the average package for cse is around 13 to 14 lakh per annum there are many companies that come for college placements like google, amazon, microsoft, accenture, wipro, TCS etc
Fees and Financial Aid
the college is a little bit strict about academics and conducts 3 exams per semester mid sem 1 - 30 marks per sub mid sem 2 - 30 marks per sub end sem exam - 60 marks per subject there are many societies in the college namely Geek Room IEEE E cell NSS Eyantra Techsoc Prakriti GDSC and many more The college is good about placements and internship opportunities if you are a cse or it student the college timings are from 8 am to 2:30 pm for morning shift and 10 am to 4:30 pm for evening shift
Campus Life
The annual fest of msit is genesis it is typically held in the month of april There are many books and journals available in the library . you can check the list of all books and journals on the website library.msit.in
Admission
i applied for many nits , iiits ect but my rank was 100k+ thats why i faced some rejections through these colleges The admission process for msit give jee mains and get around 100k rank(for cse) apply for ggsipu councelling fill the choice list after councelling results go to college for doc verification and you are finally a student of msit
Faculty
The faculty is good and they also tell us to not to waste much of our time watching reels and stuff they tell us to learn coding and build projects. the exams are of moderate level. If you study a day before exam and have 75% attendance then you will easily scose 20+ marks out of 40.
Night Life
There is no gym in the college campus There is a canteen in the campus which is pretty affordable you are in janakpuri the food hub of delhi so there are many other options just outside the campus (walking distance) if you get bored from the canteen and hostel food. the campus timings are from 7 am to 5 pm and the hostel timings are till 10 pm after which you are not allowed to go in or out of the hostel(note:- these are just official timing and not followed most of the time by the students)
