Just like other students I had also chosen this subject thinking that this will be so easy . But this isn't. Literature is way more difficult than other subjects.but now I am glad that I am a student of literature as it have developed so much qualities in me .

Admission fee is 4000/- in which 800rs caution fee is included and yearly fee is 2080/- . Hostel fee is different for every hostel according to type of room and is free for ST/SC students. In some hostel for 4 seater it is 200 and in some hostel 500 for three seater and 600 for two seater. Single seater rooms are also available but only for PhD students.

There are too many cultural programs like magh mela and matribhasha diwas in febuary , dol utsav in Holi, Rabindra jayanti in May, pous mela and Nandan mela in December, rathindra mela in November, Anand bazar on the day of mahalaya ,freshers and farewell , educational seminars and much more. We have NCC and NSS. And for sports and fitness we have a separate department also and also there is free gym and large fields . There is a lot of scope for extra curricular activities in this university as they conduct certificate course also

Hostel room are good have enough space for a student. The hostel I use to stay have proper cleanliness and I have heard that other hostels do maintains cleanliness. Quality of meal is not good for me as I am a north indian . At the time of admission form fillup there is an option for hostel . And for rented rooms and PG there are so many of them starting from 2000 . The price of room differs according to kind of facilities they provides.

I had applied in BHU and other state colleges of Assam. Reason for not going to BHU is distance. And reason for not opting for state colleges is that, that they don't have a good faculty which we have in this university. Earlier the selection process was through merit but now this university is also under CUET.

All the faculty members of my department are the best. And expert in their own field. They are so helping and supportive. Exams are not much difficult but as because in literature subject no one can give full marks so we get little less marks than other departments.

No. My department don't conduct any kind of interview for admission in B.A And M.A the admission process for BA is CUET and For MA The conduct a pen paper test which is discriptive not MCQ based. The cutoff is not much for both of the exams in my department as there are very less students who opts for Hindi literature

Visva bharati gym is free for students and every department have their own library and university have it's central library also. No Hostel timing for boys....but for girls it is 9pm. There are so many cafe and restaurant which are budget friendly but the chai tapris are the best.
