Remarks
On the whole college was a fun filled learning experience which laid a strong foundation for me to go out confidently into the market and perform to the best of my capabilities.
Entrance Preview
I've written EAMCET and got a rank of 36302. According to a survey in the Sakshi newspaper CVSR College had very good credentials except for the placement record. It was given a 2 star rating 5 star being the highest. As I'm from a urban background, I had no doubt about me being placed. So I decided to join the college and have a incremental track record.
Course Curriculum Overview
The first year was a common course curriculum except for the Engineering Mechanics subject for the Mechanical Engineering Students. Then came the 2-1 semester which introduced me to the core of the Engineering subjects. The 2-2 semester was the continuation of the 2-1 subjects. Overall the Machine Design, Theory of Machines, Strength of Materials and Thermodynamics have filled the 2nd year. Moving to the 3rd year, there was a subject of Maths and a specialization in Robotics which continued up to the start of 4th year. The 4-1 had 3 subjects and the 4-2 was full of project.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was never offered by the college. We had to find our own companies and do a mini project in the third year and a final project in the fourth year. The pay was never offered to any of the students. The opportunity to work itself was a big gift to the Mechanical Engineering students of our college. But the companies that I selected had a strong Research and Development focus. Hence I got to work on real time projects which has given me a beautiful insight to the Industry way of working.
Placement Experience
60 people in our class of 2013 Mechanical Engineering, Some 20 people were directly placed from College. CADSYS, CYIENT, INFOSYS were the companies that came to take in the Mechanical Engineering students. We had a tie up with the placement consultant called CoCubes which has given us numerous off campus opportunities. We got 5 such opportunities. From the off campus perspective another 15 members got placed. Hence we got a good placement record. The packages varied from 1.5 lakh per anum to 3 Lakh per anum.
College Events
Our college holds a Techno fest every year called Aagama and a Sports fest from the JNTU D-Zone. All the events are held under the control of Faculty and hence there was something missing in the fests. Students were only dolls in the hands of Faculty. Though the fests are huge with a participation of 60 colleges and over 2000 students every year, the events are not a huge success.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was decided by the Head University i.e. the JNTU Hyderabad. For our batch the yearly fee was Rs.32000. Then we had a exam fees also by the University. I feel that the fees was nominal and inexpensive for the quality of the education that we received in the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The state government offered free education to the economically backward classes. Otherwise the college did not have any loan facility available.
Campus Life
The college had a cool campus life. The classes were very strict but there was no limitation on the amount of time we could spend in college. I was into the Basketball team and practiced playing everyday evening. We were equally encouraged to go and play in the inter college fests. I also represented my college in IIT kharagpur for a techno fest. We were encouraged in our college which has helped us perform better and outperform our peers from all over India.
Hostel Facilities
There was no hostel facility at all. The canteen food was good for the cost we payed to it. The canteen was always kept clean and up to the mark for a hygienic eating facility. The lunch was about Rs. 40 which is the average in any eatery around in that a
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors of the college were very helpful. But the drawback is that in the first year we are not allowed to talk to seniors because of the ragging scare. It was late in the second year that I realized the importance of seniors and their interaction value. The alumni were very supportive as well helping us with the contacts of foreign university professors and suggesting the importance of a particular course.
Exam Structure
Exams are designed to correspond to one-semester courses. Faculty at individual colleges review the exams to ensure that they cover the material currently taught in their courses. The questions are basically descriptive of 15 marks each. Other types of tes

The first year faculty were from the common department called the humanities and sciences. They were friendly faculty. It's only in the first year and later whenever a maths subject comes that you get see this faculty. The mechanical Department faculty had
