A Life at Kalasalingam University

My course electronics and instrumentation is a rare course and is available only in some colleges in Tamilnadu. some subjects are revelant to electrical and electronics engineering department. teaching method was good. totally five unit in each subject, first two units will be covered for first mid term exam in the first two months, next two units will be covered for second midterm exam in the fourth month, fifth unit and overall revision will be done in the sixth month before each semester exam.

From seventh semester students become eligible for campus selection. Hcl, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, solar energy, power plant and etc. are the companies visited our college. 70% of students were placed in our batch . the eligible percentage for students to getting placed is 60% firstclass and it also depends on some company norms. My plan is to do higher studies from the begining itself.

Tution fees paid by me (year wise) - 100000 per year registration fee - 10000 lab fee - 10000 Caution Fee - 3000 admission fee - 50000 Hostel fee - 50000 (including food) Scholarships were provided for students those who scored 90% marks in STD 12 board exams.

Cultural events, freshman induction program, hostel feast and sports event will be held every year. twice in one year extracurricular activities will be added as an additional score in academic report. Nature club, NCC, NSS and other social activities will be conducted. Largest library with lots of books and journals is available here. four fans and six tube lights with power support is provided in the classroom.

Hostel facility is good. four members sharing room, two members sharing room with ac and non ac is available. bed, cot, separate cupboard with locker is provided for each student. Separate registration form for hostel is provided and cost is also affordable. rooms ,rented house PG are also availble in the locality as per convinient.

Previously i have applied for anna university counselling for college selection. i couldnt get my course electronics and instrumentation engineering due to less number of colleges, so i choose this college. In my college admission process will done by conducting entrance examination and considering the percentage scored in std 12 board examination.

The ratio of faculty to student is 1:7 approximately. Faculties were friendly and guides the students strictly only in discipline activities. My favourite faculty is Mr.Selvam, I like him the most because he is more friendly to all students and understand each and every students difficulties personally and individually. There are two mid term exams for each semester. totally eight semsters in four years. Internal marks for each semester was considered from mid term exams. average of 10% students fail to clear the exams.

Two canteens are there. one is south indian food and another is north indian food. Gym is available at indoor stadium. 10 pm is the hostel timing. college campus will be open 24/7 with security guards protection. separete playground for all game events like football ground, basketball, cricket etc. is available. my favourite hangout plaace is cafeteria and palyground.
