From my point of view college is slightly strict in case of discipline and location is little bit odd cause it's little bit far from the main market although bus stand railway station are within 5kms.

At present time hotel management is the best sector to get a job it has the highest rate of placement although these all things depends on your area of interest. All hotel management colleges offers four subjects front office, housekeeping, food & beverage services and food production you will be taught all the four subjects and depending on your interest you will get the placement.

Placement rate over here is about 93% with average package of 20k and in 2nd year college arranges the internship in 5 star hotel all over India and stipend is decided by the hotel only. You will have to complete min. 4 months of internship from the hotel

In a single year there are many fests funded by college and organised by students for example annual day, mess party, annual sports meet, freshers party and many more. These party are organised in that manner that if you are guest you will experience like attending party at 5 star hotels and if are from the organiser side you will face the pressure just like the staff of a 5 star hotel.

According to the placement the fee structure is feasible and since it is central government college the fee structure is low as compared to private colleges and state government IHMs and the college spend maximum amount on the materials and ingredients that are used by students.

Every year 5 students having more than 60% marks are offered scholarship of about 50% of college fees.college will provide you all the documents that you will need to get loan for example bonafide letter college fee structure and all other documents.

All the students are divided in four groups in 1st year only and there is a fest names Gurdaspur Annual Meet and Event known as GAME. All the students according to their intrest takes part in different types of sports like volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, etc. and also there are food fest in which students only organises all things.

Seniors are extremely helpful means i just got my mind changed after meeting seniors over here the campus is ragging free and 1st year hostel is separate feom 2nd and 3rd year. Seniors are more like elder brothers.

IHM Gurdaspur has a group of well experienced faculties who have already done job in many 5 star hotels, cruise ships & abroad. The faculties over here will provide you opportunities to experience the life of hotel and will make you capable to handle the pressure in the hotel.
