Remarks
College doesn't take any medical certificates into consideration and students who sufferers from illness and failed to attend the classes aren't allowed to sit for the exams due to low attendance . Students havinv very good attendace and marks in previous semester are also not taken into consideration.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bcom honors provides a good overall development of a student in the field of accounting.Previously, the exams were taken annually but now Calcutta university implied semester system with half yearly examination.It divides our syllabus greatly into each semester according to our potential and it never let the student to leave their study behind .
Placement Experience
Our college doesn't not provide internships but campus recruitment is there in our college .This year Amazon ,the world's biggest company (currently) came to our college for selecting various students as per their need.The opportunity for campus recruitment is only for the students of last year so I yet not experienced it though but my elder sister from same college got selected in amazon as well as tata from campus recruitment.
College Events
Orientation-it is organised for the freshers to make them aware about the culture and norms of the college. Fresher's party- It is organised via union having college's consent for welcoming new students providing dance,music,ramp and such events. Farewell- it is given to the students of last year by their juniors. Picnic- it is again organised by union for the students to have a little fun out of our daily routine. Crossroads- it our college fest which is organised yearly with some celebrity invited.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are extremely cheap as it a government college having huge subsidy. students who still faces problem are arranged with some scholarship.St/sc and obc categories are provided with subsidy in their fees .
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are there for the students who are eligible but are in need .Different discounts are also provided if students ask for with proper documents to show their need .Some professors also show their helping hand by providing free books and helping students with fees.
Campus Life
We are from morning batch of the college in which sports are not taken into consideration.Students asked for it several time but college doesn't heed any attention to it .Labs are there for the students and they also provide gym .although annual sports day is so organised by them .
Hostel Facilities
No I haven't opted for hostel as I have my house nearby.My friends who opted for paying guest. says it's quite reasonable with average food but with good infrastructure.our college doesn't have its own hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are always helpful .They come up with solutions of our problems very quickly .They help us to talk to professors and help us to describe them our problems if we are unable to do so.Alumni students often come to college and ask about our experience and hep us with our queries.
Faculty
Our college provides great professors with immense knowledge and they also take our internals to assure our efficiency for each semester .Our college puts great impact on our attendace and also arranges for different programs for our refreshment.College office provides great support to our problems and help us greatly .
