I had spent the most wonderful tenure of my life in my college and I always like to call it as a Good Old Days.
Entrance Preview
I took Common Entrance Test(CET) me based out of Bangalore,Mysore was the closest destination and SJCE was a reputed college. My Score in CET was 13,000(PCM). Hence choose SJCE as my college.
Internships Opportunities
Unfortunately they did not have the concept of Intern ship in those days when I graduated. I am not certain how it is now.
Placement Experience
They had excellent placements and job opportunities. Few of the fortune 500 companies were coming for our college for campus interviews and most of the students were getting hired during there 7th sem itself. Few of the companies are Robert Bosch,Wipro,Infosys etc.
College Events
The most famous of our college was named as SJCANA it is a cultural,festival of the college and it was quite famous through out the city. Many other colleges were also participating in this event. Most of them were jealous as they were not getting a chance like us to celebrate in there colleges.
Fee Structure And Facilities
General Merit seats were pretty feasible it was in the range of Rs 50,000 per year including the hostel fees. It was in 2003-2004. I am not sure how is it now however it would be some where around 75,000 per year. Management seats were really expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college was not offering any kind of scholarship,loan facility offered that I am aware of however we were refered to the bank inside the campus if this is a need.
Campus Life
There was no gender ratio all of us were treated equally. Our college was organising extracurricular sports where all other Engineering colleges were participating. It would be like an inter college competitions and winners were getting there awards in the cultural fest of our college.
Hostel Facilities
Honestly the hostel facilities were pretty average but I would suggest it would be best to join the hostel for your first year till you get familiar with the places. Once you are done you can relocate by near by PG's which would come at a cost of 3000-40
Alumni/Alumna
Yes quite a few of the seniors with whom i have connected to were really helpful and it is really easy to approach them.
Exam Structure
As it was under governed by VTU(Visvesvaraya Technological University) it was semester wise we had 8 semesters which is divided into 2 per year. So over all the duration of the graduation was for 4 years. We over all had some where around 48 subjects incl
