SPU's reality

the course outline was provided for every semester in advance and it was more over based on practical work. I always wanted to be a web develpoer which is why I chose to pursue this course. the teaching method was strictly board style for theory and notes were provided for the same for better understanding. the rpojects/ assignements were the worst part as we used to have to write question and answers like school and the deadline was just for a few days

the course fees was given as per semester which was around 14700. I was not given scholarship as it was provided to only those students who were in low category like sc/st/obc. the lab fees were included in semester fees and even the notes provided to us all over the years were included in the college fees itself. There were very less students who were given scholarship and the amount was usually confidential. according to me the fees were quite affordable

there was a small library with basic books needed for reference but it was usually of no use. there were not much of events that took place but the usual annual day, sports day and some festivals days like navratri. this college was more like school for me. the students were less interested in celebrating all of the above as they hardly participated

I wanted to apply in Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda but the admission was quiet difficult as it was based on entrance exam merit based. Then I heard about this university from one of my friends that it also is renowned and one of the best near my city. The admission process was simple physical application based. The confirmation was given to me on the spot after seeing my school documents and verifying them

there were different teachers provided for each subject around 4-5 teachers per semester. Reaching them was quiet easy as we were having whatsapp group where we could easily reach them after college hours. I got personal attention from one of my sir and he helped me through a lot of academic problems. everyone had good knowledege according to thier subject. there were rude and arrogant proffessors as well who never helped. there are 4 exams each year which are divided in two parts internal and external and both had theory as well as practical exams. It was indeed hard which is why there were quiet a few who used to fail

there was nothing such as a nightlife as it is situated in a small town so people used to sleep early. but yeah there were two places where I used to hangout near college one was a place who sold chicken puff and one was were they sold dabeli. the canteen in my college was small as copared to other university but it was hygenic providing affordable food
