Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because its syllabus aligns with higher courses like CA, CS etc. Bcom js quite easy as it mostly consists of class 11 & 12 syllabus. Bcom helps to acquire more about accountancy, economics and business studies. We also have to study constitutional values and environmental studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
BESC 1st year fees for Bcom couse is ?42900 this year. It offers 3 different timings for Bcom — morning, day and evening. The total tuition fees for this course is ?1,10,000. for other courses like BBA first year fees is ?48370 and total tuition fees is ?3,87,000. There are various scholarship available here like for students who have scored more tahn 90% in class 12 qnd some are available for students who are good in sports.
Campus Life
The are a LOTT of books available in BESC library. BESC is famous for its library. There are many events held here like DHAMAAL for garba nights, URJA for sports and UMANG the biggest and most hyped event of Bhawanipur college. Classrooms are large and spacious here and has well functioning ACs BESC has a lot of collectives(clubs) for art, dance, music, personal development, fashion etc.
Admission
I applied ro Xavier University, Kolkata and was accepted but I chose bhawanipur college over it because it provided more opportunities. It focused on extracurriculars along with studies. I didn't apply to many colleges because I was sure that wanted to pursure bcom in kolkata only. I wanted a college that focused on events and fun alomg w college so that i can build a fun collegr life and BESC provides all that. BESC admission process is simple and easy. You uyst have to check the website and fill application for admission. For Bcom, the eligibility criteria is rhat you have to complete class 12 w atleast 50% aggregate in best of four subjects and 45% in rekated subject.
Faculty
The faculty is really approachable. The are pretty nice, interact well, helpul and provides good guidance. There are tests held in classes and rest all examinations are performed according to Calcutta University.
Night Life
Our canteen is good. The food is tasty and affordable and its pure veg. It also has sports arena which has different timings for different batch. It has a lot of indoor sports like chess, carrom, dart etc. The place is safe to roam around at night. Most popular place around here is forum mall. People hangout there after college all the time. There are more places like H&M, cafes, park etc near college. Many PG facilities are also available near college.
