- Vast campus - one of the biggest campus in Delhi, great greenery , feels free to roam around
- Exclusive course- among the fewest government colleges which provide chemical engineering
- Less explored field- field is relatively new and evergreen, if done with perseverance, you can get great jobs
Dislikes
- Long classes- a very hectic time table during the first semester
- Too many Assingments- teachers give way too many Assignments
- Exams start late in comparison to other government colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
The course for chemical engineering is a less explored field and it is bery flexible too. One cat get a job in IT if chemical engineering does not interest them. The curriculum of the course is very chemistry related. The course has higher importance in foreign countries which opens opportunities for abroad too.
Internships Opportunities
The training and placement cells provide internship to freshers of 2nd years. The internship are related to chemical engineering and they are mostly of IndianOil, TCS, infosys and bharat petroleum which are pretty good for experience.
Placement Experience
I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 1.8 Lakh for the first year and it was taken in two installments. The first installment was taken when I applied for counselling qhich was 96000 and then the second installment was taken during physical reporting during time of admission.
Campus Life
The campus feels like heaven. It really does. The liveliness the open space all feels like a dream. The fests are a treat to watch and the societies are exceptionally professional and supportive of new members.
Admission
As my rank was 2.5L in JEE MAINS, I did not have many options in government colleges. However I did apply in IPU counselling and I was getting CSE in ADGITM. I did not opt it due to reachability from my home and small campus. Our college accepts JEE mains rank for btech chemical engineering.
Faculty
The faculty is very supportive of every student. The faculty to student ratio is very less due to less number of students in USCT. During the first semester, most of the teachers are guest faculty and they teach both UsCT and USICT
Night Life
The college is in dwarka sector 16 and nearest metro is dwarka sector 14 metro. Most people of our college hang out at vegas mall and the cafeteria of our college is pretry good too with outlets of nescafe, mother dairy, amul sprinkled all over the campus.
