Remarks

The only downside of this college is that if you don't fill the answer sheet in the exam there are a lot of chances for you to fail in that exam. It doesn't matter what you have written some of the professors who correct the paper check the number of pages and handwriting and not the matter.

Placement Experience

2.5

Being a government college people think you'll have lot of companies coming to this college for placements, but that's not the case. Very limited companies come for placements.

College Events

4.5

Being a government college you'll have a lot of holidays to work with. You get a holiday now and then due to bandhs. Summer vacation is 2 months long and winter vacation is 1 month. You also get a lot of religious holidays. Every second Saturday is a holiday as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure depends on the way you entered college, i.e, through Eamcet/AUEET/spot admission. For Eamcet students, the fee solely depends upon the rank. If you are in the top 100 AP Eamcet rank then your education is free otherwise you'll have to pay 10k to 90k depending on your rank For AUEET students you'll have to pay 1.65lakh per year. For spot admission, you'll have to pay 1.65lakh per year. Apart from the fee, every first-year student has to pay a 10k for a miscellaneous fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college you can get a scholarship of your from a family with low income/ below the poverty line. The requirement for these scholarships is that you should have a white ration card, caste certificate.

Campus Life

5

Being an old college, your surrounded by all old British era buildings and a lot of trees and places to relax. There is no gender discrimination what so ever on the campus. Students from Afghanistan, Nigeria, etc study in this college. It's a globally know college. There are a lot of clubs at this college. AU also has NCC and NSS. The campus is located in the heart of the city, so you have a lot of places to drop by near college. AU has a Siemens lab which conducts weekly classes as well as internships. The cost of Siemens Las is estimated to be around 300 crores. There is also a Mitsubishi lab in the college. No other college in Andhra Pradesh has this facility. A lot of students from other colleges across India come here to experience the labs.

Alumni/Alumna

A lot of notable personalities passed out if this college. CV Rama was a student of this College, a lot of politicians, actors, and famous business people are from AU.

Admission

There are different ways a student can get admission into this college, they are as follows : 1. AP Eamcet 2. AUEET 3. Spot admission AP Eamcet is a relatively harder exam compared to AUEET. Thousands of students prepare for Eamcet out of which only the best of the best will get admission in Andhra University. AUEET is a relatively easier exam compared to Eamcet. The only difference between these two exams is that the fee of Eamcet students will be decided according to their Eamcet ranks ( free ranges anywhere from 10k to 90k ), whereas all the AUEET students have to pay 1.65lakh fee per year. Another difference is Eamcet students can study the only BTech, but for AUEET students they have the option to continue mtech as well without any other exams. The spot admission has the same fee structure as AUEET, but you have to have outstanding marks in your 10,11,12 classes. The dates of these exams are not specific, they can be anytime from January to May of every year.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty are highly educated. Some of them even have dual Ph.D. They are very knowledged professors. Only the top lectures work in this college. One thing you have to note is that you should respect

Reviewed on Nov 2, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
