GCET COLLEGE Review by chemical engineering student.

Curriculum are like quantity laboratory . Enough equipment. There are tutorial, lab , practical everything but many of faculty don't even know everything. Some are just come and sit and read the things written on books

No company with stipend offered in this college. You can do project as part of degree. They offer unpaid internships, but if you have skills and good academics you can go for stipends . But it's not big deal to earn here

So basically if you are studying here and want placement you will always have chance to sit in placement but package are low like 390000 to 730000 max but if you have good academic then you will get minimum package of 5 lac per year

The per year semester fees in this college is 59000 inr and exam fee is 1500 inr . No extra fees . This is for general, obc and for sc,st it's free ship card . There is no scholarship but it's TFWS which is from government and if you are having more than 80% in 12th or deploma you can apply for government schemes like MYSY for gujarat.

If I say honest with this , this college have literally Below average campus like , firstly campus is too small and they don't offer much social life , of course this college have huge library, yes they also offer some good things like GPL for cricket , sports days even they have one of the best annual function it's i maze . They offers AC and non AC rooms , have good infrastructure now it was not back then i entered. Meal quality is just average it's eatable. The only reason for this college was government college are not good in gujarat and other colleges have too much fees. With this marks and merit this was the only college in that time . But Today scenario for chemicals are totally different you can apply In DDU, MSU etc

It was good ratio of faculty to students when i entered the college but today it's totally different they have low faculty to students ratio it's about 1:25 . As chemical students some are best faculty we have . Like k nath sir who is iit graduate, then HOD Mr mathur kumar bhakhar , dharmesh v ka patel , Suresh panchani . Its hard to say I don't like any faculty but they all are average and some of them are not even good. There are mid and re mid , external exam , viva that's it .I'm in chemical and as compared to other in my branch students fail much like 10 to 25 or more per semester

If we talk about night life this college is situated in vidhyanagar in which there are 120+ college in small area and many thing like gyms , library, one of the best garden called sastri mahedan , good vollyball and basketball court, good cricket areas. For boys there is no time limit you can literally go anywhere any time but for girls who studying in college hostel they have to report their hostel around 10 pm . And if I talk about famous place to hangout so till 12 you can go to sastri mahedan, food streets, vadtal lake , and too many cafes .
