Course Curriculum Overview

5

I really like medicine and surgery along with forensic medicine. The curriculum is well divided as to not impose stress on the student. The curriculum is well divided as first year is the basics about human body, second year prepares you with the disease and disorders, third year prepares you for community services and final year teaches you about diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college offers one year of internship in the campus hospital where the students (interns) work with the JRs and doctors to consult patients and learn about the work. The college take the interns on camps offsite to treat patients and consult them.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mahadbt form is available for reserved students which helps in payment of the hostel and college fee reimbursement of the students. Savitribai phule scholarships is provided to students with academic merit and economically poor background.

Campus Life

5

College organises an annual event called anubandh. Student council members arrange the entire event with the help of medical director, Dean and the faculties. Anubandh hosts a variety of events like sports followed by cultural events. Cultural events include painting, drawing, rangoli, debate, singing, dancing, traditional day, etc. sports include every sport played by the students. The entire week is so fun filled and happy with students enjoying the events.

Hostel Facilities

5

2 beds, 2 table, 2 cupbaords along with a separate bathroom and a balcony is provided in every room. The room has 3 lights and an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Water and light is available 24*7. The corridors are cleaned by cleaners every single day.

Admission

I got admission in smbt prior to bklwrmc in the second round. I got bklwrmc in the first mopup and I didn't think about it much and took my admission here. I was told by my seniors about the campus and the faculty here. I don't have any hate against smbt but fees wise and course wise bklwrmc seemed appropriate and appealing. Admission is through medical counselling centre via passing neet UG examination.

Faculty

5

There are 3-4 professors and 4-5 tutors in every department with students being 150. The faculty is very approachable and helpful when it comes to any difficulty, my best department is pharmacology, microbiology, surgery, forensic medicine and community medicine amongst others. Some faculty are strict so not adhering to their rules and discipline might attract some disciplinary action. There are basically 2 internal assessment examination, 1 prelims which is the pre university examination and then the University examination. Students are usually passed by the faculty. If any students fails it might be because of their own fault to not attend classes or not write anything in paper.

Night Life

5

College has Olympic cafe where people hangout and have food. It is cost effective and very well maintained. The library is open for students from morning till night. Sports arenas are open for students till 9 pm.
