Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this curriculum because of the flexibility to choose core electronic d fields as well as information technology fields. The curriculum is very basic and doesn't actually prepare the students for real world applications, but these are only some of the basics from 30 or 40 years ago which is outdated. To match this the college has taken steps to keep elective subjects which are in demand now using trainers from startups and companies. The course curriculum is sometimes sufficient for knowing the basics and some teachers don't even know what they are teaching, they prepare it overnight and teach us which makes us bored and sleepy, they don't even try to create that interest in students to learn. The exams are the most terrible part, while the semesters are only 4 months each month they keep a test called CDAT and additionally keep 2 CIAT test for 100 marks, we don't even have breathing time between tests to prepare which makes it very challenging to prepare anything.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities are good in our college and mostly they are unpaid internships. Tessolve is one of the companies who offer internship in our college. We have to make VLSI design projects and presentation will be done to assess our work.

Placement Experience

2

Placements are very few and rare in our college, we have to get placed ourselves, not many companies visit our college but last year from all the courses only 10 to 20 students were placed from our college. The students getting placed are very very few and the students themselves have to hunt for jobs on their own I plan to do AI model testing and also plan to go for RTL design and testing

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees 50000, admission fees 25000(one time) development, lab fees, other fees 35000 Total fees per year-85000. I didn't get any scholarships. My other batch mates pay 120000 per year who are management quota and also pay extra 30000 for transport, total 150000.

Campus Life

1

The annual cultural festivals are held in our college in the months of April or March and that is the only time we get to enjoy. The books and journals available are good and it is easy to access. Extracurricular activity is not something we talk about and it's not held for us mostly. There are student run social clubs like the rotaract club, where they conduct a few activities once a year.

Admission

I chose this college because this is what I got as my government quota and I didn't have the resources to join in management quota. I wasn't rejected from any other applications actually I got a seat but didn't have the resources to pay to enter. Admission process is smooth, you just need to have 80%or above to avail scholarship in this college. As for exams preferred just 12th is enough

Faculty

4

Faculties are very kind and respectful, the students mostly make the teachers dislike the students, some students behave rudely to the teachers and are unruly in the classroom, this makes the teachers show their anger during practicals and semester exams. Students who behave well and respect the teachers get their favors. The name of the faculty I liked most is kalanandhini mam, because of the way she teaches and the way she uses teaching to warn the students who misbehave in class, it matches so well that it looks the subject she is teaching is designed to actually teach these unruly students a lesson. She is very respectful and calm, a role model for teachers and professors all over. The faculties i Don't like are none, some of them are partial towards boys and support girls a lot even if they do the same mistakes we di they are excused. While this college is good in aspects about improving themselves, their exam planning structures lacks a lot.

Night Life

1

Cafeteria is the worst part, the canteen guy is just beyond rude and I don't even go that side for about two years now, the food is edible enough for humans to eat and the prices are bearable. The famous hangout places in the college is to go outside the college, we can't go anywhere in our college unnoticed by faculties or cleaners. The locality is safe to roam around but there is not much places to roam around since there are not much places and shops to visit nearby.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.
