Likes

College has a 750 acre of used campus that is giving very pleasant conditions for students
Department has very much supportive facilities that are excellent in their respective fields
College library has over 9lack books and a separate section for ebooks

Dislikes

There is only 2 seats for students in outside karnataka
Menu in canteen has to be updated , make it easy for students around the world
Inside the college mobile signal is poor

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well divided into 3 exams that ate C1 , C2 , and C3 exams in that first two are internals and last one is the main exam. The class timing is also very good for students. There is a seminar session in Monday morning which is very good for the students

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 39075 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In mysore university i got admission in outside karnataka section so that i have a fee amount of 39065/- for 1 year . For the students inside Karnataka in sceme A the free amount is less than 3000/- for sceme B the amount varies. For categories like SC,ST the fee amount is lesser . There is a exam that is conducted for pg admissions. Regarding that the pg sceme A list will be published

Campus Life

I this university there are lots of students studying that is from Kerala and a malayali association is active inside the campus for any helps in academics and other aspects. My experience in this campus is very good

Admission

I was looking for the admission in a central university but I didn't get that . Then my next option was mysore university. One of my friend suggested me to join in this college which she was studying.

Faculty

There are 2 senior professors and 6 other guests lecturers for teaching and for lab also the academic time table is very much supportive for students and the exams that is provided other than sem exam is veru use full. All the faculties are keeping good relationships with students

Night Life

Library is active till 8 pm and college hostel timing is also similar . In mysore shops will close after 11 pm so that the night life in mysore is not that good as I expected. If u r looking for night life in the college u have to choose other cities

excellent in acedimics

Course Curriculum Overview:

1.I was very much intrested to be a scientist when i choose biochemistry because its one of excellent bioscience subject to pursue the carrier as good scientist and complete the phd in bio science field 2.I would say for further acedmic carriculum like to pursue phd and to complete bioscience related competative examination will be clear by just following acedimics but am not saying it will prepare for you to a real world . 3.teaching methods is excellent as i mentioned earlier but problem is they only stick to acedmics apart from that they didnt prepare for real world problem job getting moto that is problem 4.exams level of difficulty is mediatory not high or not low as of my knowledge but other say it very difficult exams nobody able to score more than 70%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time
