Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum followed was CBME. I think it is good but our faculty usually says it's like spoon feeding. In the exam everything will be headings given and we are asked to describe accordingly. Sometimes I too feel the same because it will be more good if less guidance was there in exams so that real talent comes out. Areas of improvement to our curriculum will be I think addition of study hours may be
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities will be given by our college itself . We are posted in KGH and VGH and various other hospitals after completion of our final year . Internship will be very learnful and good opportunity for the exposure and experience.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly for tuition fee of 15k and hostel fee of 60k if we stay in the hostel. Admission fee will be additional 10k that will be paid before coming to the college in the website. Hostel fee was increasing when compared to our previous batches who paid only 25k or 20k. Scholarships should be applied by ourselves personally. No College involved except for fee reimbursement.
Campus Life
There will be freshers day, college week , sports week , education week will be conducted. Additionally in our hostel new year was celebrated grandly and hostel weeks in both mens and womens hostel. In classrooms we have fans , lights ,acs and all classes are projected. Sports in our college were good and our college is the only college In AP having NCC.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostel was college hostel only and it has facilities of washing machine, water dispensers and geyser additionally . Meal quality was good with egg provided daily with breakfast and monthly feast will be there . Hostel affordablity was equal with the hostels outside. Location if we rented a room or pg would be jst 1-2 km around KGH
Admission
I chose this college because of its history and it's the best college in AP for medice. And in ward postings we can see a vast variety of cases in the KGH hospital. Compared to other colleges, we don't have study periods and weekly exams . I applied for AIIMS college but I was not taken due to shortage of marks.
Faculty
Faculty were well sufficient. I love that with our college when compared to others. Because in 20 members of faculty atleast 15 will be teaching very good so that we can learn more . In my friends college they have faculty of only 5 or around in that only 3 will be teaching good. Exams will be conducted thrice in year excluding finals exams which will be difficult when compared with the final . So that we will be well read before finals Curriculum followed was CBME curriculum which is point to point learning.
Night Life
Separate gyms for both boys in girls in the hostel was provided . We have canteen in the hostel , hospital also. Library in our hostel will be a little small and we have 24 hr library in college also which is very good and I love it. There will be no hangout places but as beach was very near we can do there if so. College surrounding was very good and seems like a park. Cc cam surveillance was provided and we have a police patrol in the nights
