1. I choose this course because this course is under University of calcutta and this college is fully justifying it through its standards. 2. The curriculum enhanced my vocabulary skills and analytical skills which prepared me for job interviews. 3. The time management of this course should be improved. Depsite being lot of professors the syllabus for this course doesn't get completed at the end of the semester. 4. The exam timings are good as it happens after every 6 months and the difficulty level is moderate according to me. The exams checking should be a bit on lighter side because too much strict checking put a negative effect on the sgpa of a student.

HDFC bank , Zomato, ABP group , Radio Mirchi are some of the companies which offers internships to this college . I personally did internship from Maruti Suzuki where I had to make reports on the sales of maruti cars and later a viva was conducted where i got full marks.

1. The total fees of a particular year is 60000 where the first sem fees is 32105 and the second sem fees reduces to 27895 . 2. We have to pay the caution deposit and sem fees in the next semesters. Caution deposit is 2000 and the sem fees is 28370. It varies in other courses. 3. One of my friends from B com morning department pays 42900 every semester. 4. 1. Merit-Based Scholarships Eligibility: Students with outstanding academic performance in their previous exams (class 12 or university exams). Amount: Varies based on performance and specific criteria. 2. Financial Aid for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Eligibility: Students from financially challenged backgrounds with valid income proof. Amount: Partial to full tuition fee waiver, depending on the applicant's situation. 3. Sports Scholarships Eligibility: Students excelling in sports at state, national, or international levels. Amount: Varies based on the level of achievement and sport. 4. Creative Arts Scholarships Eligibility: Students excelling in music, dance, art, or other cultural activities. Amount: Varies based on talent and contributions to college activities. 5. Government Scholarships (Applicable in Collaboration) Kanyashree Prakalpa: For female students meeting the criteria set by the Government of West Bengal. SC/ST/OBC Scholarships: As per government guidelines. Amount: As per government regulations.

Umang is the biggest festival of the college which is held in December month. All other colleges of the Calcutta University participates here through different events and competitions . Other festivals include independence day celebrations , Navratri, etc. The library of this college is a heaven. It is beautifully organized and all kinds of books are available here. The environment is quiet and the library is also equipped with computers for personal uses. The college have NCC groups, Kabaddi groups , chess groups in the field of sports. The seniors organize blood donation camps every year as a social service where the students participate from all the departments.

1. I applied in Scottish Church college, St pauls cathedral college, st xaviers college, xaviers university, Ashutosh college, jaipuria college. I got confirmed admission forms from jaipuria college, xaviers university and lastly asutosh college. I choosed this college over other college beacuse this college doesn't have any political partys like Students union who were associated with the ruling party of the state. Other colleges does have this problem. 2. I didn't went to xaviers university because the fees was too high for me and rejected other colleges because of the party politics. 3. Just we had to fill up a form from the college website and paid 500 rupees and when my name came out in the merit list i paid the rest of the admission fees through college website and they gave a receipt of the fees and thats how i got admitted. The admission experience was smooth and anyone getting 60% above in 12 th boards can get admission into this college.

1. The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:25. The faculties does give efforts to the students who attend classes regularly and behaves with them well. Those who don't attend classes they are being kind of ignored by the faculty. 2. English Faculty - Majority of the professors of the English Faculty are good and they help us whenever we text them over WhatsApp regarding doubts or ask them in the classes. Journalism and Mass communication Faculty - The professors of this Faculty are cool and provide all the notes precisely. They don't care much about the attendance and gives a lot of marks in the tutorials . 3. I didn't like the Film Studies Faculty because of the professors of the Faculty violently behaved with the students and gave low marks in the tutorials. 4. College conducts some class tests of around 20 marks through Google form and rest are the university exams. Nowadays many students are failing to clear the exams due to strict checking by the university. The course curriculum is relevant as it focuses on critical thinking , analytical skills and communication skills also it covers a comprehensive history of english literature which provides with deep knowledge . It gives opportunities to the students to take part in the theaters, debates and other co curricular activities.

After the evening classes the students hangouts in the college canteen and sometimes in the library. The campus closes by 9 to 10 pm at night. Our college doesn't have a hostel . Some hangouts places near our college are 1. Forum Mall 2. Haldirams 3. 8th Day Cafe and bakery 4. The biker's Cafe.
