Likes
- The first main thing which I liked about the college was our faculty members.They were highly knowledgeable and we felt like our career was in safe hands. They used to teach us and even solve our doubts which was very helpful for easy understanding.
- The second main thing I like about a lot about the college was its campus and infrastructure.The college campus was huge it had huge library which was very helpful it had football court,basketball court,cricket ground and even auditoriums and halls.
- The third thing which I liked was our extra curricular activities or courses.They were such a fun to be part of.The sessions were fun interesting and interactive which were very useful to build confidence in individuals.
Dislikes
- The thing which I disliked was there was no transport facility for the college.Many students who were far from the college had to travel through public transportation which could sometimes lead them to miss their first class.
- The second thing which I disliked was there were no much holidays given to other festivals except Christmas.But it was also beneficial because we Loyola students used to get a lot of holidays during Christmas whereas other colleges didn’t had much.
- The third thing I would say is the washrooms facilities could be improved a bit
Course Curriculum Overview
The course which was chosen by me was Food Science Nutrition and Dietetics.The sole purpose of choosing this course was Loyola College because it had the best facilities and faculty members.The lecturers were highly trained and experienced.The lecturers had knowledge about the subjects and they used to teach us with their soul and heart.All our lecturers had done their masters and even they had clinical knowledge as they had worked in reputed hospitals for sometime which was very helpful for us students.It was never a scared relationship between students and teachers but it was very interactive and fun experience.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college was very helpful regarding the fee structure. The children who's parents were financially not very stable they used to get concessions in the fee structure only because the college motto was to provide right education to each and every individual. There were even scholarships provided for SC and ST students which was very helpful for them and to their families.The fee structure is as like we can pay the fees in partial amount too, semester wise and it was very helpful for parents as there was no pressure from the college side. The college also gives enough of time to pay the fees and notice of fee structure by management used to issue much prior to our examinations which was very helpful to the parents who are financially not very good. We also had concessions in the fees based on our 12th board marks as if the child was bright enough and if he had scored the highest marks in his 12th then he had concessions in the fee structure of Loyola College.
Campus Life
So there are various fests held in our college.The annual fest which is held for all the departments is called Resonance Fest which is held every year.Every year the theme is selected uniquely and which also has a deep meaning and message. Other than this there are also various fests which are held within their departments and all the students actively participate in each of them. There are also various books available in our library with which you can dive into an ocean of knowledge. Even we have advanced technology classrooms with digital teaching and learning. There are also various sports facilities and games which are held for students who are much more talented in sports. There are also various clubs which are helpful for students to gain their confidence and which are helpful for introverts to speak in public without any fear.
Admission
1)The thing is I was already selected in a college which I applied for Bsc Agriculture course which was in Pune,Maharashtra.But then later my parents were not willing me to send that much far from our state and house so that is why I had to leave that college. 2)I didn't get any rejection from that college but I had to drop that plan because it was very far from our state and my parents were worried to send me there. 3)So the admission process of Loyola College is that first the students need to apply for their desired course by being eligible with their 12th board marks. So after the students are selected they are called for a written exam related to the course which we opted and then later interview session is held for the students who got selected in the written exam. I was also selected based on interview criteria and then I got my admission over here.
Faculty
The faculties were very helpful and interactive. The relationship between students and faculty was much more than student and teacher. They were more like guide to us who were always there for us whenever we needed them.We had internals we had mid semester exams we had prefinal examinations and then lastly we had final semester exams. All these exams were very helpful for us in writing our final semester exams.Pre final examinations would play a key role for us which was very helpful for us to write and it would be easy for us to write our final semester examinations.All the faculties were very helpful for us in shaping our career.
Night Life
Okay so the first thing done by the students after the college was to sit in our college canteen and relax by having the strong coffee provided in our college. Later on there are many spots to hangout around our college like various small cafés which are mainly built for students. The locality is very safe even at the night times and it also has a park to go on a nice walk in the evening. The college also has hostel facility for students but their timings are a bit strict and the students and not allowed to go out in the late evening.
