The college is well known in India and also ranked the best government college for hotel management in india.
Entrance Preview
I took the NCHMCT JEE for hotel management as i was already interested in entering the hotel industry. I referred a few people who were pursuing this course and who were working in this industry. They explained me all the reality of this industry as to what all i'll have to face further when i start working but after knowimg that i'll have to face many difficulties. and its not all glamourous I still pursued as i was interested in culinary arts.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a little outdated, but the teachers are well experienced and teach us whatever is new in the industry. They also solve our queries whenever we ask. In all the core departments i. e. Food Production, Food and beverage service, Front office and Housekeeping the techers and scenior lecturers are helpful.
Internships Opportunities
My internship experience was good. I worked in Food &Beverage service in banquets but i wasnt able to work in the kitchen as i am interested in food production department. I worked in dubai so I i dot a stipend in dirhams that is 1000 dirhams per months plus overtine. The Meydan Hotel came for the interview and after getting selected i worked there for 4 months.
Placement Experience
The placements are still going in our college and till not main hotels such as The Oberoi, The Park Hotels, Hilton, IHG, Lemon Tree, Dominos, Mc Donalds etc and they offered various packages ranging from Rs. 12000 to 26000 per month.
Campus Life
There are various activities carried out in the college such as culture curry fest, ganpati celebration, onam, etc. There are also various inter college competitions carried out every year. Also hostel parties are carried out- girls & boys hostel freshers party seperately and one freshers party togther. Also there is a freshers event in the college for the new students. There is no gender discrimination.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are small. There is very less storage space as the cupoards are very small so we have to keep half of our stuff in the suitcases. The mess food is pathetic, the quality of ingredients is very bad.
