Course Curriculum Overview
I've always loved studying English since school days. I saw my fellow classmates saying "what will you do by studying English?" and then seeing most of them opt for it because they thought it'd be an easy course but we don't talk about that. English Honours has always been my dream course and studying it here makes it even better. Thank you BESC for this.
Fees and Financial Aid
we have a semester system so we have to pay around 28000 per semester which adds up to 56000 a year. The fees of students who have scored above 90% is as far as I know less by around 50%. As far as scholarships are concerned students get it from college with a good sgpa and cgpa.
Campus Life
My overall experience here till date is great. Before coming here I had heard that BESC is famous for only fests and fun stuffs which is true but the educational side BESC provides is unbeatable too. Astounding
Admission
I wanted to go to a college which would provide me with proper facilities and great faculty and many of my acquaintances gave me their words that BESC is the best for it. It's a great place if you are a regular student. I can go on and on top describe how great the faculty is
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio is 20:80 which is pretty great. We students have our own mentors whom we can go for help whenever needed. they always make sure to help us no matter what. Always grateful for such a faculty. The professors are always super helpful and open to all sorts of questions we come up with. The faculty of English honours is the best. We have CIAs which are pretty much easy to attend if you are regular in class.
Night Life
BESC is absolutely in the centre of all the best places. Kolkata's oldest mall, Forum is literally 2 footpaths away. There are amazing cafes surrounding our college. And the most important Netaji Bhobon, our pride is a 2 min walk from BESC. Other than that our college area is a pretty amazing place to hangout all day long as Nandan and Moidan is like 10-15 min walk from BESC.
