My experience in the college

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is learning the society from indept knowing the aspect and also the field trip they taken on , as i love to travel and explore new people and culture it made me more interested to take this course. As they made us do field world , we directly can observe the people, place , culture and also how they deal with socital problems and every day problem. The teachers takes surprise test during the class time, also they take mid term and end sem exam, with many projects, ppt and viva . The exam difficulty level increases as they provide many e books and notes and video and by analysis it we need to make notes and write up.

We annually do a department fest known as Renaissance , where every college and schools are invited and they can take part in it. We personally visit the schools and colleges to invite them and take part in every event we held. We also invite guests and celebrities to judge the program and make our event more memorable and joyable. They are moderate amounts of books found it the library related to our course. The technological aspects are our college is well equipped with administrative departments but we do not have smart classes. We also have annual have annual sports day every year in our college. We have many clubs in different departments.

I applied to sccottish , st xavier , amity and Jadavpur university. I got accepted in Scottish and amity. I choose this college over them as this college had a good ambience and also the faculty was good and this college take studies very seriously. I got rejected from st xaviers , I could'nt make it to Jadavpur university entrance exam due to medical conditions. I got accepted in amity but didn't like tge ambience and there fees structure is little high . I also got accepted in sccotish but the list came one day late and i already took addmission in Sister Nivedita University. The admissions criteria for a Bachelor of Arts (Ba) in sociology at Sister Nivedita university in Kolkata ia as follows:- The conditions must have passed or appeared in 10+2 (any stream) from a recognised board with a minimum aggregation of 40% The university also takes a interview through gmeet to check weather you are eligible or not. They also accept students who applied for cuet

There are 4 main faculty and 4 visiting faculty and the students are 50 students in the faculty which makes it 1:25. The teachers are very approachable, friendly and communicative. Helps in every aspect in the college. Dr. Seema Dutta, HOD of our department Dr. Rikhia Ma'am are very helpful approachable amd very informative in the very subject of our department. There are two exams: Mid Term and Year End exam with internals with viva with presentations. The students who fail to subject assignments and project by the end of the year will more likely fail in exams . It is very relevant in our path of studies for doing the field work in the future

We have one gym in our college, we have food trucks, one cafe and canteen in our college. We have a ground were people hang out and play and also a library. Hostel are available for both boys and girls . The hostel ac and non-ac as per requirement. Food are provided and the gates close at 8.00 pm. Inside college we hangout infront the food truck or ground and out we have small food small where people eat and hangout.
