Everything is just positive. The students union is really active and voice the students. Help them and fight for the issues of the students. Even recently they lowered the fees of mass communication department from 60K to 20K

The course curriculum is really compact and well organised with best prices of literature (Texts, Comics, Songs, Scripts, Novels, Poems, Epics , Research papers, Different schools of comparative literature like German, French, American school etc). And is really helpful and practical.

Yes, Our Arts faculty students union and our department has a placement cell and every year people get placements. They also provide paid internships(handsomely paid) and other opportunities. Last year there was gandi fellowship and 1947 partition archive internship were arrived for example. Gandi fellowship pays 25K per month and Petition Archive internship paid 60K for taking 20 interviews.

There are atleast 3-5 events and seminars organised in the department. Professors and scholars form different foreign universities were invited as guests and there were workshops to explore different aspects of the subject.

Rs 1225/- for 1st year admission and Rs 120 for two semesters. Rs 1100/- for 2nd year admission and Rs 220 for two semesters. Rs 1300/- for 3rd year admission and Rs 990 for two semesters. So the fee structure is feasible.

There are 5 scholarships. 1. For economically weak students. 2. For hostel borders. 3. For SC/ST/OBC, minority students. 4. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship. 5. Kanyasree Scholarship. 6. For people who can't buy books.

1. Many teams of football, American football, basketball, volleyball, Table tennis , cricket from university to practice for and to compete for. 2. Physical Education as General Elective students which students can choose to opt for. 3. Lab for other science faculties are really good and equipped with top class instruments. 4. Clubs for drama, Mountaineering, Music, Dance, Photography is also available.

Jadavpur University has many alumni associations for different faculties of Engineering, science and arts and they participate in different programs and even organise some. And they also fund the university for the betterment of the fellow students.

There is an entrance test of 100 marks. And the criteria for appearing on this exam is to have atleast 60% in two major languages and 60% in average. The test questions are really interesting and demands fresh thoughts with new perspectives upon various field like literature ,social structure, post modern society, feminism, politics etc. There are near about 10000 aspirants competing for 60 seats. Students Identity ( Name, Roll number etc) are hidden for the examiners and strict anonymous submission is mandatory. Only the administration knows the application number and matching roll number. And In recent change, 50% of your entrance test number and 50% of your boards are combined to create the merit list. Then the counselling happens and your documents are verified. Then you get your permanent roll number. But you have to maintain atleast 60% attendence for first 2 weeks to get permanent admission.

We have the best faculty and infrastructure compared to other central universities. Everyone is highly qualified and they teach awesome, really helpful and easy to communicate. They are many researchers scholars who are really friendly.
