Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is very much relevant with the current landscapes of the B&Fs. We are being taught with the help of case studies, live examples, working hands on tools like Eviews & Spss. Here at NIBM all the aspects of banking & finance are fully covered from general to technical. Emphasis is very much given on the quality of education. Exams are almost every month.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship is compulsory for everyone. Like placements Internship is also 100%. Projects ranges from Msme sector, to credit risk to bonds, Early warning signals and many more such topics. Companies like Tata Capitals, BNY Mellon, Bank of America, Unity Small Finance Bank, HDFC Credilla, Natwest gave ppo.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are great. Into the top banking and Finance firms. With attractive packages Average ctc is 15.5 lpa. Regular recruiters are Barclays, Tata Capitals, Bank of America, BNY Mellon, Natwest, STCI, Axis Bank, IDBI Bank, etc Around 25 students got ppo this season And we become eligible once we are in the 4th semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

So beginning with the overall course fee it is 16 lakhs for 2 years. We have to pay it in 6 installments over the two years (This doesn't include the mess fee, that we have to pay separately. It ranges from Rs 4500 to Rs 5000 monthly). Now the fee structure:- 1. First Year: - Academic Fee: ?6,86,000 - Hostel Charges: ?1,08,000 - Alumni Fees: ?6,000 - Total: ?8,00,000 2. Second Year: - Academic Fee: ?6,86,000 - Hostel Charges: ?1,08,000 - Alumni Fees: ?6,000 - Total: ?8,00,000 Additional Charges: - Security Deposit (Refundable): ?12,000 - Mess Deposit (Refundable): ?8,000 Breakdown of Fees: - Tuition Fee: Included within the Academic Fee. - Caution Fees, Registration Fees, Admission Fees, Development Fees, Lab Fees: Not specifically itemized in the provided structure. Campus Life

5

Campus life is great here. We have lots of amenities here at NIBM. Being connected to the city also hepls us enjoy. All the basic facilities are there like gym, playgrounds, volleyball court basketball court badminton court everything.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are also good. Brilliant structure with wifi facility in every room. Timely cleanliness also takes place. If anyone faces any issue it resolved as soon as possible. The services are wonderful here. The staff is great.

Admission

Actually I didn't apply for any other college. I applied to NIBM only and got in. The reason I opted this college is because of the Course they are providing. I have always intrigued by the finance world. Also Banking and Finance are backbone of any country. NIBM is an Institute established of RBI so it speaks volume about the quality of education they must be providing. Also I talked to few of the students who were already here even they recommended it highly. So I felt confident about NIBM & went for it. Admission process: I came through CMAT, but you can also opt for this college via CAT, XAT & GRE. Cut off is 94 %ile (CAT, XAT, GRE) & 98.5%ile (CMAT). After clearing the cut off you have to sit for Extempore and PI. Once you clear all these levels then only you get a chance in NIBM.

Faculty

5

Faculties are really wonderful. They are being always helpful & kind towards the student be it in any aspect of the course. Few of the brilliant faculties here at NIBM are Dr Arindam Bandyopadhyay (faculty of Risk Management), Dr Jiji Mathews (Economics), Dr Sanjay Basu (Market Risk), Dr Tasneem Chherawala (Financial Derivatives) & many more. About the exams, we have tri-semester pattern. Exams are conducted in the mid term as well as end term. So we have to appear for 12 exams over the 2 years. Exams are of moderate level. Some of them at times might become tough but overall on moderate level only.

Interview Experience

5

My topic was how can technology improve agriculture business in India. So, Similar topics are given to everyone. PI was bit inclined towards Finance and key financial ratios. I watched YouTube video, read articles for my preparation.

Night Life

5

Good facilities for students like gym, library, cafeteria. NIBM recently made a tea post which is sort of hangout spot for students. Students can sit and relax, stroll around the campus or read in the library whatever they feel like.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
