Course Curriculum Overview

I have interest in geology .Department provide pratical sections.If they provide interships it is helpful for students .The duration of semester one is 3-4 months.One semester is contain assignment and one internal exam

Fees and Financial Aid

I got my admission on Mysore University in 2024. The admission is based on your entrance marks and Degree marks. First of all you have to apply for entrence exam there will be entrance exam conduct on all departments.

Campus Life

Regional festival like dasara and also scientifical like geology and gis day are celebrated here .The University contain a main large library which has n of books and also each department has its own library .There sports activities and each student has Id number and registration number

Admission

I applied for University of tamilnadu, Sikkim University, pondicherry University and mysore University.I got confirmed admission on Sikkim and tamilnadu.But i chose mysore University because it has strong geology history and very valued department

Faculty

There 12-16 faculties are present and also all of them friendly and approachable.I mostly like Engineering geology facultiy Sir nagentra Prasad Because he is very knowledgeable person and very friendly .we can understand all of his teachings. There is no facultiy I dislike .The one semester contains 1 assignment and 1 internal exam before semester exam .The exam are not that hard it is bearable

Night Life

The mysore University had gym ,canteen , library and a lake called kukkarali lake. Gym was open in morning 5-7 am and also evening 3-5 pm.canteen open 9 am to 7:30 pm.Campus is 24 hours entry and the boys and girls hostels in inside the campus.The famous area is kukkarali lake and The department of Gandhian studies area

excellent in acedimics

Course Curriculum Overview:

1.I was very much intrested to be a scientist when i choose biochemistry because its one of excellent bioscience subject to pursue the carrier as good scientist and complete the phd in bio science field 2.I would say for further acedmic carriculum like to pursue phd and to complete bioscience related competative examination will be clear by just following acedimics but am not saying it will prepare for you to a real world . 3.teaching methods is excellent as i mentioned earlier but problem is they only stick to acedmics apart from that they didnt prepare for real world problem job getting moto that is problem 4.exams level of difficulty is mediatory not high or not low as of my knowledge but other say it very difficult exams nobody able to score more than 70%.

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time
