Beyond the classroom: An interactive study of college life.

i am immensely invested in biology and the various mechanisms of life and so i decided to choose zoology as my major. My course provides me with practical examination and observation of my course related analysis for better understanding of life around us. My course can excel at providing more real based specimen and workshops to attract students into learning and engagement. The examination takes place within 6 months of a semester and it is about of total 3 hours.

Nowgong college is a well known institution offering various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. I'm pursuing a Bsc jn zoology and here's an overview of the possible fee structure and scholarship details based on general information of my college. Fee structure (approximate) -they can vary based on the category(general/st/sc/obc). For general category it could be around ?1000-2000) -admission fee was free as per this year's government's order by every government college. -since my college is fully government funded so there is no development fee need to be paid -for formfillup of exams i need to pay around ?2000 -i pay around 1400 every month for hostel fee Total fee could be around ?10000-?20000 every year for any category. Scholarship details: -ishan uday scholarship is funded by UGC and supports the students of northeast whose annual income is less than ?4, 50000 for various academic support. -various category scholarships are also available yearly -hostellers can also apply for separate hostel scholarship

the campus life has been quite enjoyable due to the presence of friends and regularly held activities that provide me with a platform for public speaking and personality building. There exists a library full of different books available in different genres of education. Furthermore many labs and seminar halls are present for interactive studies. My college hold various events like college week where all major competitions like sports, dance, quiz, debate, modelling etc takes place extensively. There also exists many important clubs and i'm myself enrolled as a NSS memeber to contribute towards the betterment of the society.

there are about 100+ girls in my hostel which id situated behind the college campus and is accessible by foot and in each room three students from 1st, 3rd and 5th sem inhabit together for a semester year. Meal is provided three times with regulat tea in thr evening. Registration process for hostel takes place during admission into the college campus and the admission fee of the hostel is ?9000 for an academic year.

honestly this college was more preferably cost friendly and flexible from my own hometown and this is the main reason i chose this college over other colleges. I applied to cotton university, guwahati university and arya vidyapith college besides this but managed to get into only arya and my current appointed college. My admission process was based fully on online mode and depended mainly on my high school's percentage but i did appear CUET as well just in case. General cuttoff for my course here is about 75% and above

there are more than 100 members including staff and non-teaching staff of the faculty members belonging to different departments. the course structure is government funded and consist of 6-8 semesters as per FYUGP NEP stream. I significantly love my very own department faculty i.e zoology because everyone is very interactive and supportive. I disliked botany department because of its mis management in certain areas of classrooms and teaching. There are about two exams that are held per semester, one is sessional of 20 marks and thee another is the final pre term examination of about 60 marks including practical exams held sidebyeside.

my college consists of a gym, two cafeterias, a huge library and a sitting area surrounded my green plants and buildings. I'm a hosteller myself and the safety and provision of food here is beyong expected with friendly and interactive relationship among the students. Famous hang out spots would be a tree sitting area more popularly known as "BRINDABAN" deriving it's name from the significance of couples meet. My campus is safe and secure at night woth guards all over the place
