Likes
- Infrastructure and the technology used is completely up to date
- The classrooms and teaching methods are up to date as well with good ppt and whiteboard teaching
- The teachers are all qualified and very rare occurrence may happen where the teacher is clueless himself as to what is going on
Dislikes
- Population. There are way too many students enrolled in the college due to category system
- Alot of competition, due to the heavy population, we need to compete against alot of people for a good job
- Too strict in some ways such as hostel in times, guy girl distance, etc
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is same as most other colleges in the country, syllabus is the same which is followed everywhere. It is pretty outdated and old in quite a few subjects but that is throughout India so I don't think it's particularly college's fault
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty decent, not the best not the worst. But if you are willing to put the hard work then you will be given a good opportunity. I say so because top tier companies such as Google, Microsoft, apple, dell etc do visit but take only a very few people, so if you are good enough to be in those then sure you can crack more than 50lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall fee that we pay is the tution fees if we do not take hostels, so that is based on category system where category 1 is 2 lakh, category 2 is 3lakh, category 3 is 4lakh, category 4 is 4.5 lakh and category 5 is 5 lakh, the category is decided based on your rank in their examination. Everything including lab fees is covered in that.
Campus Life
It is a very lively college in terms of social life and club oriented life. As the population is huge there are every type of people over here. So you will find people who are very dedicated to club activities and other extracurricular activities. Apart from that the events happen pretty regularly and fests are awesome
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good honestly, there are 5 options to choose from namely 1bed, 2bed, 3bed, 4bed, 6bed. Further you have choice to choose between ac and non AC. You have more luxury option of apartment type hostel as well which just looks better from outside, and is divided into colonies of four rooms each which share a common bathroom and a lounge area with sofas
Admission
I chose the college because it was second ranked private college in India as per most sources. It was within top 10 in nift rankings, and was pretty well known about. To get admission you are required to write their exam known as VITEEE, based on your rank you can choose your subjects
Faculty
Per semester you will have 2 internals and 1 end sem. Internals are 50 marks each which are converted to 15, other than that you will have 2 quizzes for 10 marks each and 1 assignment for 10 marks, so total 60 marks internals, then end sem of 100 marks is converted to 40
Night Life
Night life is pretty dull or you don't have friends in your hostel as you are not allowed to be outside hostels after 9 30, that's the in time for the hostels. You will have a night canteen in the hostel though, and if you have your group present then you can have lots of fun
