Honest review for a freshman

Well this is only my first year so I don't have to pickup or choose my courses as The freshman year is same for every student. But the lab courses and the classroom curriculum gave you a very broad insight on what you would be doing out there in the world while pursuing engeneering.

Well I dont have a great experience or knowledge about that but yes there are many students which go for internships (paid) in the summer and winter breaks. There are a lot of opportunities that college provides us regarding internships.

That is what is best here in the four or five year journey of your engeneering you spend here that makes you ready for anything life hits you with. Every type of students get out after completing their degree including startup founders, civil servants, corporates (placement) and even in the art industry. The placement of the college is around 80% including the person getting PPOs.

So the tution fees for Genral or OBC students here is 1 Lakh per semester and for the OBC or General student with income in the range 1Lpa-5Lpa is 33000 per semester and for the student with family income less than 1 Lpa is free. and the student which are from SC or ST have no tution fees as well they have no restriction based on thier family income.

As I was new to this kind of environment and I am an introvert I found it a little challenging for me to get into the clubs and come out socially. I was in a deep self doubt as every student around here has done some great achievements in their life and all what I did is study and zero extra-curricular but I think thats also for my good seeing people doing so good in here will make me come out of my comfort zone and involve in the activities I might not be good at it from the starting but I will get it after some time learning new things.

The hostel here really disappointed me as the infrastructure was old and the bathrooms were very few. And the rooms here are not so big I got a good room with my 2 other roomates but some hostels even have very smaller rooms with 3 students accommodation. But the mess food here is best. Atleast in my hostel.

I mean do I even need to start boasting about my college it is the best in the whole country and on the top with QS ranking 1 in 2025 and ranking 46th in Asia. This was the best option I was gonna get based on my rank which I got in JEE Advanced and I don't regret even a bit choosing this college.

Well as I mentioned earlier the some faculty here are really hard to understand and some are quite amazing in tecahing their subjects. There are different types of courses in here lab courses, class course and some non graded self development, ethical and language courses. The marking or grading scheme here is relative for some subjects and absolute for some completely depends on the professor taking that course at that semester.

The best the great the amazing nightlife which you can have is here as I said earlier there are no restrictions on your outing in late night so you can wander inside the campus or outside the however you find good.
