Honest review of the university

As a biotechnology student i have to do much lab work and that's what attracted me to this curriculum. The labs are well built with all equipment and appratus. The curriculum is more theory based although if you take some extra efforts you are ready fo the real world problems. The curriculum needs improvement as to indulge more practical work rather than theory. Two exams are conducted in a semester with mid term exams being easy and semester being moderate. The mid term exam is of 1 hour and the semester exam is of 3 hours.

The colllege as such do not provide any internship to students but there is a placement cell in which different companies come. Students are more focused on off campus placement and internships. At the end of 3 year and 7 semester we have to do a mandatory internship in the field of your choice

The one year fee for all branch of btech is 85400 which is non refundable. In first year you have to pay 2000 extra for security money. This covers all the academic and examination fees. They don't ask you for extra charges after this. Up government scholarship is available for this university which includes 55-60k for general caste 60-70k for obc's 70k to 1lakh for sc and st students on yearly basis.

There is University foundation day in October which is a 3 day long event. Then there is technovation for all BTech students in November. The convocation is also held in November. There is a concert in april organised by btech department. As it is a university so there are various departments and small function and fests are held throughout the year. The library is not so good and you can't be dependent for all the curriculum books. The academic facilities are overall good and you get a good technical environment in the college. There is also a gymnasium in university with the membership of 1500 per month. You can join various sports and like volleyball basketball badminton table tennis etc. Both nss and ncc is available in college which on joining gives valuable certificate and ofcourse new experience and moral values.

In one hostel room two people are allowed. You get two beds two tables two chairs and one almirah for two people. The mess is okay and the food quality is also okay. Although they lack hygiene. The hostel is allotted on the basis of merit list issued by the university. The accomodation cost for whole year is 12000 and mess cost is 30000 for one year which sums up to 42000. I would recommend to not take hostel for accommodation and go for a pg instead

I also applied to Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University of which my admission to Delhi University was confirmed. I didn't took Delhi University as it was much far from my native town. I didn't got admission to banaras hindu University. I can't reach the cutoff of the university. The cuet counseling cutoff was high and i missed it. The admission to my college is both through counselling and merit based. You should have passed class 12 with minimum 40%. The admission to my course is offered through cuet and merit based. The cutoff is not so high and you can easily clear it. My admission experience was smooth. You have to be ready with all the documents they ask for and then your admission will be granted.

Every department has atleast 5-6 faculty members. The faculty is very friendly and approachable. They maintain a good studying environment in the university. The biotechnology faculty is great as they help you with all your academics and extracurricular. Some faculty are strict and they only do their job and doesn't take much effort for students. In a semester there is one mid semester exam of 15 marks and one semester exam of 70 marks. The paper is easy to moderate level. The course curriculum is almost same for the first year student of all branches but as you move forward the core subjects are very much relevant

Well if you are a girl hosteller you will not be able to experience nightlife of University as you are not allowed in the campus after 6:00 pm in winters and7:00 pm in summers. After a hectic day you only get 1-2 hrs of chilling in the campus with only a ok ok canteen in the campus. The campus in timing is 5:30 in winters and 6:3 in summers. To roam at night is a dream of many hostellers. As the college is situated in Lucknow outer so it is not much safe to roam at night.
