A Student's POV on SKIT

The curriculum is good. Teachers teach really good and their methods are very friendly. They also encourage you for extracurricular activities. Thereare several clubs and joining one club is mandatory. For appearing in exams, you have to maintain 75% attendance. One con is that they give you 6 exams in 3 days and don't even give a preperation leave. Before theory exams, You hav to give practicao exams for a week and simultaneously they give you assignments and unit tests.

SKIT is an average college for engineering. If you are unable to get a better college then you can go for this one. Tht campus is not too large but it has many gardens to sit down and relax. There is a canteen and two cafes inside the campus. One is run by two mothers who feed you home like food. Trees are planted everywhere. There are dustbins at adequate distances that avoids littering. Classrooms are spacious and clean. Washrooms are also pretty hygenic. Including all charges throughout the year (exxcluding hostel and conveyance), you have to pay 1.24L. Students get admission through JEE rank and reserved categories have relaxation. And some states like J&K give admisssion here without JEE and also give scholarship. Then there are also scholarships for underpriviliged students.

They organise a few fests and they are really fun. You can coordinate in any way you want and participate in many fun activities. There are clubs related to all activities and they encourage you to join atleast one club. If you have idea for a club you can propose it. And college life becomes more fun with extracurricular activities. There are also many sports. Library is also really good. It doesn't always have the latest books but has really good books and is very helpful.

I got acepted in many other colleges and some were even better than this. But I couldn't leave my home and I live near SKIT. That was the main reason. But even in jaipur, there are many engineering colleges. But SKIT tops them ll in many fields. It has discipline more than other colleges which is very necessary in a sudent's life. It offers better curriculum and better job opportunities. Admission is through JEE main exam. There is a merit list based on JEE score.

In a classroom, there are 60-65 students. Teachers are great and very patient. And if you are not satisfied with any teacher, you can complain to HOD and they take instant acion. Every teacher gives their best but a few teacher might seem a bit rude to you. There are two midterm exams and one end sem exam. Mid term is for 40 marks and end sem exam is for 60 marks. Exams are not too hard. You can easily score 60-70% by studying one night before, assignments, attendance, and unit tests.

There are many gardens where you can sit and chill with your friends. There is a canteen and two cafes inside the campus. One is ownes by two mothers who provide home like food. LIbrary is open from 8am-8pm on weekdays and 9am-4pm on sunday. There is a gym inside the campus which has good machinery and all basic equipments. Girls hostel closes at 6pm and boys hostel at 8 pm.
