Overall this college is an excellent choice for an engineering student. It offers everything of what an engineering life should comprise of. I made the right choice by joining here and I'm very happy.

The course curriculum will be up-to-date as per the requirements of the industry of that particular stream. This curriculum will be planned before starting of the academic year by department and management. There will be 2 semesters in an academic year where each semester will have 3 midterm exams. Out of 3 Mids, best of 2 will be considered and evaluated for 30M, based assignments and students performance 10M will be evaluated and finally remaining 60M will be evaluated through semester-end exams

Placements or job offers or opportunities whatever, GITAM University's most respectable employee and our Training and Placements Officer (TPO) Mr. Gurumurthy Gangadharan sir (Retd. Commander) provides many more opportunities for our students. Every student who's good enough in his/her academics will be placed based on their knowledge. Yes, They provide internship. I did in Symbiosys Technologies, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. They give me 15,000 stipend at that time. It was such a wonderful experience for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and now have very valuable experience under my belt. I know this will help when looking for jobs and needing references. I was dreading it in the beginning, but now I am so happy it was required. As much as the curriculum changes, I hope that class remains constant. We all know that practical experience is the best, and internships give students that hands-on experience they need. I feel that quality internships are essential to develop key skills that you can't get in a classroom. Skills such as multitasking, communicating, learning to deal with diversity, and dealing with deadlines are different when you are working for someone else, not yourself like you do in college. Internships are also a great way to network with people in the industry. My boss and co-workers were great about giving me contacts and referring me to open positions in the industry.

In every academic year, different workshops, seminars, technical fests, and cultural fests will be celebrated either by departments or by student bodies. The college has many technical and non-technical events and even cultural fests. Our cultural fest is called pramana which will be held in the month of February for 3 days. for cultural fest there will be many people working who are divided into batches.they will be working under different departments. For Example, GITAM Excellence Meet (GEM) is a cultural fest celebrated by management students of GITAM Institute of Management,GITAM University,Visakhapatnam campus. Event Theme: "Celebrate Togetherness"

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech]-4 year(s)-Rs 10,94,090 Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Technology [M.Tech]-6 year(s)- Rs 14,78,000. Master of Technology [M.Tech] 2 year(s)- Rs 3,79,000 Fees is expensive as compared to other universities like VIT. But good is that there is 100% placement.

Labs are very good and having a perfect infrastructure in labs and we have sports competition and having sports day also in campus will be there. Ncc and the other social activities are involved and trained by each and every individual. Overall it's a good experience and pride to be a member from the best university. Where the talent, knowledge, creativity and innovative be highlighted and exposed it's a great platform to prove.

I want to give rating. Hostel infrastructure - 8/10 Hostel facilities - 6/10 Hostel food - 3/10 Food is not good and it's so spicy also. Hostel fee:- Rs.44,000/- per year (it may vary depending upon the type of hostel you choose)

Senior students are very helpful and interactive in all aspects like coming from the course and other activities also like sports, subjects etc. If we get Any doubts regarding academics we ask them.There will be one day for interaction of seniors and juniors in college.

Students looking for admission must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology with 60% marks in aggregate. Admission to the B.Tech, B.Pharm courses are done on the basis of marks obtained in GAT(UGTP). Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. program should qualify in NATA / or JEE (Main). Candidates applying to the University’s PG courses should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board and should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/College. Also, the candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% in the qualifying exam.

Most of our faculty are experienced and knowledgeable researchers on their particular stream of studies. They teach not only the subjects included in the curriculum but also the manners and soft skills. If a student was found either active and participative in academic activities or he/she is not good at academics, our faculty helps them to achieve their goals by supporting them to an extent what they can do.
