What Students Say

Likes

The campus is very good, too much of tress and plants. Very eco friendly college.
Sports like cricket,hockey etc are very active in our college.
The programs conducted are very classy and all students who like to participate are welcome

Dislikes

The department of commerce is more strict unlike other departments
Teachers are not very friendly, no free time is given.
Compared to last year the total number of programs are declining

Course Curriculum Overview

I love to manage accounts that's why I choose commerce.FYUGP course provid more opportunities to know the real world. Practicum hours are given so it is easy and relevant to understand the topics. It's a difficult job to attend university exams as there is no previous year question papers.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

We are paying 11000 every six months ie,22000 is paid every year. I have taken management seat from the college costing 1,00,000 for the course B.com finance and taxation. It is a four year degree with honours.As self financing students we are not enjoying any concessions like aided students. From the previous year there is a 12% hike in the fees structure. There are scholarships for SC,ST, OEC students.

Campus Life

There are many programs conducted by our union. There are programs like union inauguration, union day, 1st DC day etc. There are lots of book provided by the college for reference in library. There are many social campaigns, clubs etc for students to participate in every program

Admission

For allotment I applied only for Union Christian College Aluva. For me it is easy to reach from my home. And also it is a very famous college for arts also. So many programs are conducted , but as self financing students we doesn't enjoy much as aided students.

Faculty

Faculties provided by the college are not so good and not so bad, The relationship between faculty and students are not so good. There are 2 internal exams and 1 university in every semester. As FYUGP student it is a bit more difficult to understand the topics and no enough time is given to complete the portion. At first no faculty or students were knowing the syllabus.

Night Life

As self financing students we does enjoy our campus life. Faculties doesn't allow us to hang out in college after the college hours. The cricket court is the most calm place in our college. There is a chapel in our college which is very calm and quiet . The most peaceful place in college. The is no much night life provided by the college

i would rate it 3.5/5 it is relevent and covers most of the topic afterall add some more practical and real world could make it even better real world problems don't exist in silos coming subjects like data science or psychology with business prepare students for complex decision making

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in there 6th semester during 3rd year. The students has to score highest grades and should be capable of any skills and has to showed up in academic skills are eligible for getting placements. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.

Placement Experience:

By completing the last semester students are eligible for campus placement. There is a very large number of companies recruited from the campus including IT companies like Infosys, Technocrat, etc. The average package is more than 15k.

Remarks:

The college is well known for inducing skills to students holistically. The facilities work very hard not just to complete the course but to make students fully aware about the subject matter. There is no political influence found in this college.

The best college in calicut city

Remarks:

Our college is the best but the college have not a college bus and a canteen. The students are come to the college with bikes and cars and private bus and students are eating food from out of the college campus and other hotels.

I take admission in the year 2022 through mgu cap. Our college is aided so, comparatively less fees than other self financing colleges. Our college that distinguished itself it's cosmopolitan ans secular ethos, Christian and humanistic values, residential life and interdenominational management etc...the admission is done through the mahathama Gandhi university site named mgu cap.
