Likes
- The campus is inside the prestigious heritage Gujarat university, its very well maintained and clean with plants amd big grounds to sit, play etc. College also provides clean drinking water, AC, WiFi, smart boards and many more amenities.
- Faculty are well trained and knowledge. But they are mostly research scholars and not teachers with a real degree or experience in teaching. But they provide us with great knowledge and perfection.
- The functions and cocurricular activities.
Dislikes
- There is shortage of water. Sometimes there is no water in washroom, which is a little uncomfortable. Especially for girls.
- The teachers usually are visiting faculty or the ones who are research scholars and not actual professors with proper degree or teaching experience.
- Being a course of it feild, the department still doesn't have a computer lab. We have to bring our own laptops.
Course Curriculum Overview
I changed my major from bio to tech. The course is very much in demand. But it can be improved if there is a 50:50 ratio of practical to theory. Right now its is i guess 30:70 making 30 for practical and 70 for theory. One cannot really study computer in just theory books. The exam schedule is perfect
Fees and Financial Aid
It's an integrated course, meaning BSc(bachelors) + MSc(masters). The course for 3 years of bachelor is 29600/- for each sem. 29600*6 = 1,77,600/- And fees for 2 years of masters is 45000/- for each sem. 45000*4 = 1,80,000/- Total will be 3,57,600 There is no compensation for any reserved categories. But students can take benefits of various merit based or cast based scholarship provided by government.
Campus Life
The campus life is too good to be true. Campus has all the amenities one need or want including various sports activities. Wifi, canteen, ac, smart boards, and physical hands on practices. There are several clubs and so many extracurricular. The fest includes freshers, farewells and days celebrations along with regional conference and more.
Admission
I didn't apply for any other college as i was late and didn't really have much choice to myself. But i am very happy with my decision. The admission process includes online registration and then ofline form filling with ofline fees payment. There is no special exam. Just the 10th and 12th pass from any renounced board is eligible for the course, from science and commerce feild. Bo arts feild eligibility
Faculty
The ratio of faculty to student will be 1:100 to 1:150. All the facilities are very approachable and friendly. But also strict at theri own pace. The exams are medium to tough. But very less students fail. There are 2 exams per sem and 4 per year. 2 internal exam by department itself and 2 external by University.
Night Life
Canteen is there. Other than that, the university is in the heart of the city and surrounded by so so many cafes and small food joints, available till late night. The university also has a big BIG library which is open most of the time that is 8am to 12 am
