Best College under RTU

If you are not that meritorious to get in IIT/NIT/IIIT then this is the best college you can get. But remember this college is much like school they are very professional in their strictness and you have to carry that decorum with yourselves.

Course curriculum is based on Rajasthan Technical University which uses old syllabus. There are two mid terms and one main exam in one semester. Mid terms carry 20% of the total marks and 80% is from Main University Exams.

Placements for Computer Science, Information Technology and Electronics and Communication branches are high and above par. Almost 80% students get placed every year. But in core branches like Mechanical, Civil and Electrical it is much lower but as compared tp other colleges of RTU. It is high enough.

Our college celebrate it's fest beautifully named PRAVAH every year around February and March. It also celebrate a 3 day event based on sports named as AAVEG after that PRAVAH is kicked off. These both events conclude in 7 days. Our college also host the International conferences of Computer science and IT department regularly.

Fee structure is feasible. Around 90000 per annum is okay for a middle class family to spend on a Bachelor's degree of Engineering. Fee structure is based on the strict guidelines provided by the Rajasthan Technical University.thus it is kept low.

College doesn't provide any loan to the student. But they provide a huge fee concession to the TFW quota seats only available to the Rajasthani meritorious students. They also provide 25000 rs scholarship to the Muslim minority students. All of the above mentioned scholarships are from Government based organizations.

Laboratories are just fine, not all experimental setups work. Computer labs are nice with air conditioning. Basketball and Cricket are two major sports of our college. SKIT has the best basketball and second best cricket team in Rajasthan. There is one common ground for both cricket and soccer,one for badmonton, one for lawn tennis, one for basketball and one for the hand ball.

I have opted for hostel in the first year. It was a decent experience. But the food was not up to the mark. They provide only veg food so you have to eat non veg food from outside vendors or swiggy/zomato. Only single rooms are available which are around 400.

Senior students are helpful and they are veey friendly and supportive in nature. You can bring their old course books from their previous sems and they will help you save some bucks. They also guide you in placements and courses demanded by the Comapnies.

I got the admission via the counselling process called REAP. In that process my JEE mains marks was considered. I filled the choice of college names in the list and according to the Merit I got IT branch in SKIT college

Although Faculty of college is not world class but they help us getting the aim of iur life very well. Since it is an RTU college so we must keep our expectations low in terms of faculty but in all colleges of RTU,SKIT has the best faculty.
