- The campus is very beautiful. It’s quite large.
- All basic things are available inside the campus like cafés , grocery shops , barber , laundry etc
- The campus also contains of a 24*7 physical health centre facility for medical emergency among students which provides medicines free of cost
Dislikes
- The campus is situated far away from the main city area
- The location of the campus is in midst of forest so dangerous wildlife like snakes are always a hazard also various insects, even pigs can be spotted across the campus
- The girls hostel lack in providing grounds and gardens
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is best for btech students as data also suggests highest packages for BTech students. The college also offers design as a course but the design course is infused with topics of engineering, so some students may find it irrelevant
Placement Experience
There are very good placements in this campus specifically for computer science branch . Almost every year the highest package crosses 1 crore and the average is at nineteen lakh per year . The placements for mechanical branch are also good and internship opportunities are provided.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are roughly 2 lakhs per year or 1 lakh per semester . For sc ,st,ews categories the fees are reduced. Education loan can also be availed using admission documents . Many scholarships are also available for students with certain income criteria.
Campus Life
Campus life is awesome . The campus is completely residential. It has many clubs and competitions happening all the time . The clubs offer a competitive environment. The senior are approachable if addressed as sir/ maam . The social life is amazing as people from all across the country can be found here
Hostel Facilities
The campus is compulsory residential. Meaning every student has to live in hostels , there are several hostel for girls and boys separate. There are residential colonies within the campus for married persons pursuing PHDs. The hostels are provided with canteens apart from the central mess. The hostel fees for per semester are around 20-25 thousand
Admission
IIITDMJ is one of the few government IIITs . Many are public private partnerships, i wanted to avoid that . This IIIT has a large campus, better placements records and more diversity in terms of branches . The admissions are processed through jossa , csab, dasa , study India councellings . For jossa and csab jee score is considered. A safe score to get into this college for the lowest branch is 97%ile for general male and 96.5%ile for general female
Faculty
The faculty is esteemed. The course is divided into 2 semesters. Each semester has 4 exams per subject. Two quizzes and one mid sem and one end sem . The marks scored in each exam are considered and added to the final grading . The grading is relative .
Night Life
The curfew is at ten thirty at night , so not many night live activities are present. However. At times during events we can find that the curfew is extended. It's also easy to leave the campus by taking a leave form , it doesn't require the consent of parents simply the student.
