Course Curriculum Overview
Well I like computers so I chose Computer Science. The curriculum is pretty good and covers almost all aspects however some of it is pretty outdated. We have 3 internal exam and one semester exam. So we have exams almost every month.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fee I paid was 311000. This included 10000 extra curicular fee and 1000 registration fee. You have to pay exam fee every semester, the fee varies upon the number of subjects. There are scholarships for students through JEE and SRMJEEE.
Campus Life
There are many fests like Rubaroo, Dandiya Nights, etc. There are plenty of books in the library you can even access them through e-library. The classrooms are well equipped with smartboards and projectors.
Admission
Upon researching I found that SRM is one of the best private colleges for pursuing B.Tech. I did apply ti other priavte colleges, but finally decided to choose SRM because of its brand value. The admission process is pretty simple, you need 65%+ in 12th and you are good to go.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is about 1:100. The faculty to student relations are mostly good and most faculties are approachable except a few of them. The exam are easy to pass, you can just go through the previous year questions and score about 80% if start studying the night before exam.
Night Life
The gym and the cafeterias close at 7PM. However, there is a canteen inside of hostel which delivers food till 3AM. Junior hostels are closed at 7:30PM and Senior hostels are closed at 9PM. The locality is safe to roam at night.
