I love genetic engineering and immunological studies , as Biotechnology deals with both, I chose it as the course of my interest. The 4 year course covers all of the trendy topics, and they update the syllabus then and then. One suggestion will be to include another programming language apart from python like r programming and tune it upto the biotech applications. Real world scenarios or case studies can also be included to ease understanding.

Students from IT departments have been offered internships from Microsoft, Amazon , Cognizant and TCS etc . In my course, you will have to do an industry 4.0 project , an Inter disiplinary project and a final year project.

From 3rd semester, students are eligible to attend the placement classes. All tech giants have visited and have given very heavy pay offers . Percentage is >90%. I plan on pursuing higher studies after degree.

The mentioned fee was Rs 2,25,000 per year for all the students. But the students like me who wrote the Admission exam conducted SAEEE got scholarship on the basis of our ranks. I got Rs 30000 waiver off my fees. Other than this, athletic students, meritorious students belonging to minorities can get scholarships .

We have freshers culturals for the 1st years. Culturals are also conducted for 2nd and 3rd years. Final years have a sort of farewell culturals. All of them have famous celebrity guests . Pongal fest is conducted. Apart from us the technical events are also conducted like hackathons, conferences, startup pitching events, seminars, symposiums and workshops. Library has almost neccessary books. Technological provisions within the classroom is the provision of projector. There are many student clubs of different domains in the campus run by student representatives. I myself is the President of one such student chapter called IE(I).

I attended JEE MAINS, so thats the only other univeristy I applied for. The results of JEE MAINS was unacceptable, given I am well aware of the JEE curriculum. I attended B.Arch also, for which I was marked Absent for no reason. Hence I joined the other college I applied for, which is Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.

Each class will be assigned with a class counsellor who will answer all your queries and issues . Each dept has a HoD and each school has a dean. Most of the teaching staffs have Ph.D. , years of teaching experience and would have contributed to many books, researches and govt funded projects too . Our Head of the Dept. Dr. V. Ramesh Kumar is very approachable. Takes opinions and criticism , answers your queries ans stands by you, given you are polite and professional. Same goes with the majority of other staffs. They even give career oriented suggestions , let you know about research opportunitied and help you connect with professional in the field. There are two internal exam namely CAE 1 and CAE 2 and a final semester exam ESE for each semester. Portions for CAE 1 is Unit 1 and 2, CAE 2 is Unit 3 and 4 and the Unit 5 is accessed as an assignment. In addition to this an online quiz is conducted. ESE has all the 5 units as the portion. Mostly they are easy. Even the tough questions are application based only. The exam is course curriculum relevant .

There is a cricket ground, indoor stadium, basketball ground, amphitheatre, central Library , mess, canteens and vending machines in the library . There are separate hostels for boys and girls situated at different parts of the college. The working hours are from 9 am to 3 15 pm for normal students. College is till 4 30 pm for the placement students and for students who are undergoing courses or workshops in the college, it may extend upto 5 pm. There are buses for students till 4 30 pm. Students can sit in the stone benches and canopies in a mannerly way without doing any unpermittable actions. Professors and staffs are designated to look for students who indulge in such activities, depending on the severity of the action, they may even get terminated from the college. Since im a day scholar I refrain from commenting on the night life in the college.
