A government engineering college

Campus is way to large to be managed properly. That's why the ambience doesn't look good. Other than that every facility is available here. Conditions of the classes is not too good. But new buildings have also been constructed for new workshops.

The course curriculum is same as followed in any other engineering college. We have a mid semester exam and a final semester exam. There are total 8 semesters to be cleared. There are several laboratories for different courses offered with efficient machines and equipments.

Since i am a first year student i haven't been offered any internships yet. But the opportunities here is good as compared to other colleges. 60 of 100 students get placements inside the college remaining 40 get it too off campusing. So the future here is secured.

Cultural events are continuously held. Annual fest, freshers and farewell is also mandatory part. Other than that may debates and other events are held to boost communication and other skills of the students who are about to get into the real world after college.

Fee structure is not at all expensive since its funded partially by government. Approx 35000 was the fee at the time of admission and after that 28000 per semester. The college also offers hostels to students at 7000 per semester.

College offers no scholarship. But the students get it anyway from here and there. College helps freely to avail those scholarships. It always informs students about the present scholarship criteria amd scenario.

Yes there is a sports ground inside the campus. We regularly play there. And other activities are are always promoted here. There is no boundaries for anyone to not do something. He/She can freely attend to any activity they like. Its a part of the curriculum as well. At first we go through an induction program. It comprises a very large variety of curricular activities.

Seniors are most important part of any college. Here they are very friendly. Since it is an anti ragging college, we don't have to worry about that case. Seniors are too much helpful here. They always treat us as their own younger siblings.

I cleared the WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) exam. Then in the 3rd counseling round i was offered Computer Science Branch in this college. The exam consisted Physics, Chemistry and Maths as the main subjects.

Faculty is very friendly. There are always 1 or 2 exceptions otherwise all are fine. They know the modern way of education and training. They have thorough knowledge about the topics they teach. Only negativity about some of them is that they are not able to communicate sometimes easily.
