Great College and one of the oldest college of India

The college is one of the oldest college of India and is highly reputed. Being part of this college is remarkable. Only you need to keep your focus right and ignore unwanted elements and flows and you could reach hight's and fulfill all your aspirations after joining this college.

The course curriculum is very appropriate and relevant with the field. There are total 8 semester exams and 5 subjects in each semester. All there are practical subjects which are 3 and 4 depending upon the semester.

Placement history of college has been great. There is a good ratio of the candidates that are placed. However the placement of core branches is not as good in number compared to CS and IT placements. The average package that the candidates get is also good and top Multinational companies recruits from this college.

There are many cultural and tech fest's that are organised in the college. This involves inter College participation and discussions. These events are encouraged by the faculties and principal. Also extra credit are given to NCC candidates and sports winners on state and national levels.

The fee structure of the college is very much feasible. It's as low as 500 bugs for a Schedule Tribe and Schedule Caste guy and 11000 for a general category guy for a semester. The other fee apart from semester fee is the exam fee.

College provide good scholarship facilities to merit students and underprivileged students. Also there is scholarship based on the category of the students. Loan can be easily prevailed from any standardized bank as the college is well reputed.

Labs are excellent as far as the equipment and machinery is associated. However infrastructure is not as good. Electrical high voltage lab and mechanical labs are famous all over India and are unique. Sports facilities are also good and college has a cricket ground, basketball ground, football ground of its own.

The hostel infrastructure is not very good but it's very affordable and cheap. The facilities provided are good and hostel is much secured and safe for girls. Hostel is very near to college and have good transportation to other parts of city.

College is having a chain of successful and well reputed alumni. There are alumni working in almost all fields ranging from Bollywood to ISRO. Alumni such as A. Choudhary who is founder of HCL are the inspiration for the new graduates. Alumni of this college is highly supportive and open handed towards college welfare and development.

I got admission by clearing MP PET Exam with under 1000 rank. Now selection is done via JEE MAINS exam. Also there are some quotas for Jammu & Kashmir and North east people's. All there is SC, ST, Military, Freedom Fighter quotas as well.

College faculty is highly qualified and experienced. Most of the faculty is PHD from IIT's. There are also guest faculty to assist the main facility. However faculty do not devote the appropriate time to classes that they should give otherwise.
