College Life of SVNIT and its Reviews

The Course and curriculum in AI Branch is completely relevant and too the point, No extra subjects such as workshops and design are there. The students do not feel burden due to these extra subjects as New Education Policy has been applied to this Branch. The course in AI branch is more based on coding and it provides a strong foundation in it, which helps student to compete in this world. There are 2 exams held in one semester mid-sem and end-sem, the difficulty of thr exam is more at a medium to tougher side.

Students in and after 3rd year are eligible to get on-board on the internship opportunities provided by the Institues. There are two internships and training program held by SVNIT. One is the summer internship programs from 3rd year students which focuses on skill development and making the students understand the cooperate world here the stipend is low of about 5000/-. And the other one is provided by The Career Development cell at SVNIT, which trains students for placement opportunities and main aim is to make students capable to compete in this fast-paced world.

The Placements here are decent. From 3rd semester onwards students actively participate in internships and training opportunities and students are offered placement in their 4th Year. The Highest Package is of 54 LPA this year(2024) from CSE branch. CSE, AI, ECE and EE are the branches from which high percentage of students are being placed. The Average Package here is 12 LPA. Many Major Companies such as Larsen & Turbo, HPCL, Hitachi visits the Campus.

The Tution fees is reasonable and affordable as it is a government institute. The Total tution fees for 4 years B.tech Programme is 5,00,000/-. And the other costs such as exam fees, lab fees etc. Total upto about 1,11,500/- for 4 years. The Institute provides with fee remission on the tution fees, in which students having family income less than 5 Lakhs ler annum are given 2/3rd tution fees back and students with family income less than 1 lakh per annum are given complete remission of the tution fees. SC/ST students already have less fees than general candidates

The Campus is vast and has 250+ acres of Land area. Which keeps students close to the nature. The Campus life is amazing here as many clubs and major fests such as Sparsh, Kashish, CHRD, are organized here. The Campus has a Central Library where every book is easily accessible to students and the infrastructure and ambience of Library is great. Many Sports events such as cricket, football, badminton tournaments are held here and the campus has facilities for every sports, this NIT also actively participate in Inter-NIT sports competition. It also has clubs such as technical and non-technical clubs, NCC Clubs, and sports clubs. The Students get many opportunity to take part in social-activities and engage with peers, faculties snd seniors.

The Hostel facility according to me is good when low rent and cost is taken into account. The Mess food here is good, taste and quality both are nice and overall menu has a balanced diet. As the Hostel facility is incampus SVNIT iteself takes care of its registration process. The Rooms and buildings looks old, although gradually every hostel is going under renovation. Washrooms, lobby, grounds are well maintained and kept clean.

As This Institute is a National Institute of Technology, students have to qualify JEE Mains Examination to enter this college. For a student to get a seat in AI Branch, they need more than 99 percentile in JEE Mains if looking for a general seat. I chose this college based on my JEE Score and its in my Home State also. Although i applied for other NITs but according to my rank i got a seat here. The admission process after the JEE Examination is completely taken care of my JOSAA and CSAB.

The faculty here is fabulous. The teachers from all the branches are talented, experienced and have a lot of skills. The AI Branch and other branches has amazing Faculty who are passouts from NITs, IITs and IIITs. The faculty and student relation is good and students feel free to ask for assist from the faculties. Teachers here help students whenever they need and assist them in every way possible.

The nightlife at SVNIT is not good, due to in-time restrictions of the campus. The Campus intime is 10:30 PM after which no students are allowed to enter until they have a leave or letter to enter. But the campus has many hangouts spots such as lawns, a general store which has all the stuffs you need and a huge campus to roam around and chill with your friends. The campus has a central GYM and a Central Library. Even every hostel has study rooms and a seperate gym.
