Campus culture which involves interactions with other batches, concept of seniority and it getting diminished as time passes
Peer group which is excelling in almost every aspect.
Frequency of personal interaction with professors.

Dislikes

0% attendence tends to make people lazy.
weather is so very extreme. Very hot in summers (around 50⁰C) and very cold in winters(sometimes below 0)
remote location- Pilani is a village making it a hassle to order some of the things and waiting 4-5 days for a simple thing.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is completely structured in a well manner though sometimes it feels that the evals could be lesser in some of the courses whichshwould not affect the progress. The difficulty level of quizzes is easy to moderate and midsems and comprehensives are moderate to tough

Fees and Financial Aid

the tuition fee is 276000 and the rest is 10000 for hostel deposits and 12000 for mess deposit per semester. Apart from it there is both merit and merit cum needs scholarship available. Mcn scholarship is great help for students whose family income is less than 12lpa and it provides upto 80% scholarship.

Campus Life

The tech fest and cultural fest are literally enormous with Oasis being the 2nd largest student run college fest(after mood indigo- IIT Bombay). The various clubs provide opportunities to the students to explore their hidden talents as well

Admission

The admission process is simple. Apply for BITSAT, appear in the exam, score well and land in campus. Apart from it if you are a board topper, then you already got in. And also based on your sat score, if you are an NRI, you can get in through DASA mode

Faculty

faculty to students ratio is around 1:80 which is very reasonable as it is very easy for the proofs to individually interact. Furthermore, the evals are frequent (in electronics specifically) which makes 0% attendence a fallacy.

Night Life

Night is pretty alive. Love birds can be seen roaming. Food eateries are open till 2 AM and students after that as well are always keen to pull all nighters which are just excuses to kill time and enjoy the night life of campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

The placement of my college are good in electrical and mining branch the placement are very good while in other branch the placement is decent in this college many companies are visited like vedanta etc. many good companies are come here the 60 percent students are placed every year but in mining and ee the placement rate is almost 100 percent my plans after getting degree is to go in very good company with very good placement

Placement Experience:

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.

BITS Pilani- A relevant review of Pharmacy

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey. The admission process is through the BITSAT exam, an online test includes Physics, Chemistry and Maths and English and Logical Reasoning. There is no reservation policy.
