Good Productive College

Overall, The college is good if you have not any other option to choose from. But, I suggest not to get admitted if you have a better option as your career requires proper direction and I think any other average college can provide it better than SSGI does.

The Syllabus is set by the CSVTU (Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University) and contains important aspects and essential topics for employable engineer. But still some unnecessary subjects are still there instead a huge technological era of development.

Talking about placements, the college is not that good to attract companies above par average but although some placements are done and college has nothing to do with it. It is the students own hardwork and talent.

Every year, Around the end of month of February, the techno-cultural fest of the college known as SAMVID is celebrated. It is very famous Festival popular to Surrounding Areas of Bhilai and Raipur. It is a 3 days programme and every day a special guest appearance is made. A national celebrity is invited on the last day too. Again, RAAS GARBA, another festival of the famous Gujrati form of Dance is conducted every year near to Navratri Festival in Oct-Nov month every year.

The Fee Structure is prescribed by the CSVTU itself for all its affilated colleges which is neither feasible nor expensive. It is an average fees. Around 34000 per semester for a B.E. student which slightly differs according to Department of Study.

The College provides Fee-Waiver Scheme for branch openers and Fee Confession to lower sections of society as prescribed by CGDTE under the state Govt. Of Chhattisgarh. It also provides essential deductions as per the economical conditions of the students family

Extra curricular activities are awesome at the college. most of the sports are played by students and the infrastructures adds to suitability for conductance of activities beyond studies. labs are not at all well maintained and lack of equipments and defective instruments always prevail in the college.

No. I have not opted for Hostel. But, Hostel is quiet dirty and disturbing. The students there are reckless and hostel management is responsible for it giving them freedom of their choice. Talking about the infrastructure, it is very good and more than enough.

Alumni network is not at all strong. But seniors are very helpful. More than the faculties, seniors add to the comfortability and guidance to the juniors. NOT very famous alumnus are produced by the college.

I appeared for CG PET Entrance Exam conducted by cgvyapam and secured 2778 overall rank. With this, I was alloted this college SSGI in the 2nd phase of B.E. Counselling conducted by CGDTE (Chhattisgarh Directorate Of Technical Education), Raipur.

Faculties are very cool and friendly but in the other hand are very late and unpunctual which leaves a bad impact on students and environment inside the college premises. Seeing them, the students too get unpunctual and reckless of their schedule and hence syllabus completion time also get effected.
