Honest review of SRM Delhi-Ncr Campus.

I took cyber security as a specialisation because of the requirement of security our data centric world need, the number of cyber crimes are increasing very speedly day by day and this is the major threat and problem in today's world so we should be trained to tackle them. The curriculum of SRM is fine. It includes the core subjects as well as some basics of programming languages but for the industry level student have to prepare himself on his own to be stand out from others in this competetive field. Some more technical skills related subjects or trainings can be added in the course curriculum to make more industry level ready professionals and the teaching methods can be little bit more innovative and teachers should share their work experience in the industry as well as they should find or create more knowledgeable way to make students understand their concepts. The examinations take place well on time and the difficulty level is medium so it is not hard to score good grades.

After the completion of 5th semester the student will be eligble for the campus internship oppotunities and very high number of companies visits the campus for the recruitment companies like microsoft, amazon, cred, juspay, paypal, Zs associates, phillips etc came here for the roles of SDE, graduate engineer trainee, System Engineer etc. It includes minor and major as well which are commonly research based, and the projects helps the students to make them in shortlist for the next round of the compaines.

After the completion of 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements and internships. Many companies have visited the campus for recruitment only quiet a few of them have not been made any offer like mckinley rice is a company in my knowledge which did not made any offer even after taking exams. The highest package has gone this year is 40lpa and the average package of this year has been around 5-6lpa which is good for fresher according to me but it can be better based on student's performance. And various profiles and job roles have been offered like SDE, Data analyst, Data scientist, Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, Business Analyst, System Engineer, Gradtuate engineer trainee etc. According to the market conditions the percentage of students getting placements differs every year this year this percentage comes some down like previous year if the percentage was 80% so this year is 65-70%. My plans will be depends on how i find my self at that time in which state of mind when i will get the degree.

I paid Rs.2,21,000/- for the first year of B.tech computer science and engineering with specialsation in cyber security from SRMIST Delhi-Ncr campus as it included Rs.2,00,000/- for tuition fee, Rs.10000/- for extra curricular activities across four year course (non-refundable), Rs.10000/- for One time registration amount (non-refundable), Rs.1000/- for security deposit(refundable). This Rs. 21,000/- have been paid only once not every year. The tuition fee for all four years which i have paid Rs.2,00,000/- per year. Other than this i just pay exam fee of every semester before the exams it cost less than Rs.5000/-. Other than this i did not pay a single penny for anything in four years. This fee structure was for all the branches and specialisation for B.Tech at the year 2021 in which i took admission in SRM. For the current fee structure you can visit the official website of SRM or college duniya and then you can analyse the growth in fee as year changed. If you appeared in srmjee and ranked among top 500 students then you will be offerd SRM scholarship which can be 50% of tuition fee. And also while studying there if you are among the toppers then also you will be offered Rs.30,000/- as scholarship.

The annual festival of the SRM is "Rubaroo" which is a very grand annual festival which basically take place for two days and mainly occurs in march or april. Every day a famous artist came to college and gave performances, last year rapper "Mcsquare" performed in the "Rubaroo". It was fun to attend these type of festivals because it refreshes the mood and mind of the student which are constant surrounded by acadmic subjects and also these type of festivals inlcudes many type of competitions like technical or for entertainment purposes. The technical festival of SRM is "Innovate" which is a very highly competitive national level technial fest and participants from across the country came here and participates in these various technical competitions. The library of SRM is very famous in the region for it's area, infrastructure, quality of popular journals, and thousands of books in the library. SRM also has it's E-Library. All the classes are AC and many of them have the projector installed and all the classes or lecture halls have the facility of Smart-boards. Sports of the college are very good, SRM has many fantastic grounds for football, cricket, vollyball and basket ball courts, indoor games like chess, table tennis etc. The extra curricular activities of the college are very good it inlcudes dance club, music club, yoga club, fashion club, nukkad-natak society, technical club etc. These are very good for making the environment of college very friendly and fantastic also the culture of this college is beautiful.

I have also applied through JEE Mains in several colleges like Galgotias, GL.Bajaj, Kiet etc. of Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow before taking admission in SRM Delhi-Ncr Campus. And also got the admission offer but back in 2021 the covid effected year all these colleges were having very late admission process. I live only 20 minutes away from SRM Delhi-Ncr campus so it is very easy for me to catch the early morning lectures on time as well as i do not have to pay for transportation fee and hostel fee but if i choosed to take admission in Galgotias or GL. Bajaj so i had to pay the hostel fee so with tuition fee these colleges will also cost me almost same like SRM but i have done a campus visit in those colleges there is no comparison of these colleges with SRM. SRM has better labs, library, teachers and infrastructure as well as the location SRM's Location saves my lot of time. Admission process of college can be explained as if you have minimum 80% in 12th so you may be get direct admission in SRM other than this if you have good score in JEE Mains so you can apply for the admission in SRM and other than this SRM conducts it's own Entrance Exam named as SRMJEE. So these are the ways to get the admission in SRM Institute of science and technology.

There is 1 teacher on every 60 students and the relationship between student and faculties are very good all behave very well and polietly also some of the faculties assess the students individually. I liked Nishant Anand sir, Karthik sir, Lalit sir and many more the best among these is Nishant Anand sir because of his real time examples and creative teaching style which helped me alot to keep the concept remember for a long time. Every month of every semester i gave Cycle Tets and 3 cycle tests happend in a semester which consist 50% marks considerd as internal examinations marks for final result of the semester. And the rest of 50% marks have been gatherd through the theory university external examinations it happends only one time at the end of the semester.

The SRM Delhi-Ncr campus have gym which is only for the students who are living in hostels and it opens in morning and in evening and have good gym equipments. Campus have cafeterias which are little bit costly as compared to outside shops and cafeterias and also the food does not define it's cost. Library opens at 09:00am in the morning and opens for all the students it has digital verification entry gates students have to first register in library with their Identity Card and then they will be able to enter in the library after scanning the unique barcode displayed in their Identity card. I am not a hosteler but i know the timings of hostel the gates of hostel opens at 05:00 am in the morning and gates are closed at 07:00pm in the evening. Famous hangout places are their cafeterias, campus roads, near basketball court, vollyball court.
