Bsc Biotechnology (hons) in panjab university

so, basically the course i am in is research based. and the curriculum provided enough exposure to wet lab which was the main reason i opted this course it prepares me just fine for real world applications and the jobs I'll be pursuing in future. practical subjects can be increased ofcourse and lab hours should definity be increased exams are conducted after every 4-5 months.

so, basically there's just tution fee i.e around 55,000-60,000/yr. and there's exam fee of around 3000 before every semester. there isn't much financial aid available as far as i am concerned and I don't really think if someone applied for a scholarship then the amount exceeds 5k.

there are a lots of events taken place - national counselling in january -tech fest in march -summer internship in june -chascon in November there are like a hugee amount of books present in library which are very easily accessible to all the students of pu. classes are pretty basic but seminar halls and digital rooms are available pu is obviously known for its sports and extracurricular activities. the fests, events taking place has no count there are a lots of clubs like science club, English club, enactus

i applied to guru nanak dev university and chandigarh University and got my acceptance from both but i chose panjab university because well obviously it is a government University and had may too many benefits as compared to others and the exposure level in my university is something to be proud of. so for entrance there is an exam names PuCet which is conducted yearly. i don't really have any idea about other courses but for Biotechnology i had to clear my 12th with a medical degree. the cutoff was high exam was pretty tough. the addmission process is fine not very complicated

faculty is fine. like there is obviously a bit less faculty fo my liking, more teachers should be hired. there are like 7-8 teachers in our department. they are friendly and are approachable. there are 5 subjects in a semester. there are 5 practicals before theory exams each practical is of 20 marks each theory is of 67 marks failing students ratio is pretty less. the exams are easy but marking sceme is bit strict.

uni has many gyms that are accessible by the students there is main cafe stuC that has many shops which i guess is the best part about pu one can have a healty fulfilling meal at campus library is available 24/7 reading room is opened 24/7 hostels are open 24/7 hostels are nice with minimum restrictions StuC is the main hangout place inside the campus. well the uni is located in chandigarh which is i guess the best in itself whole campus is safe to roam around at night the guards are available at every short distance
