My college

Each year if you faily any two subjets next opertunity will only be available after 6 months, there is no say exam opertunity, we are still following 2016 scheme, it couse more stress on students along with work quata and studies it will be so stressfull in this scheme

The main positive of the college is internship offered by the college, one can work in all department for 1 year according to the alloted days, descent stipend is also given according to how much days we work

Yearly i pay 19500 to the university in aditional to it i pay about 8190 per year as establishement fee which may change, that also include hostel fee. For obc and st students the fees amount is nit reduced only establishment fee is reduced, they recieve egrants scholorship

There is no particular name for the annual festival main programmes conducted in college are artsday lasting for 3 days, convocation and intermedicos sports hosted by our college, there is also other. In college library all important dental books are available. Two lacture hall are available in our college both have projectors and one have mic system, all the department will have seperate small lecture hall / clinical lab. In sports there is no much support from the college but college teams is available for different sports and will get permission to participate on other sports events. There is no other clubs for music or dance, but one who are interested to showcase there talent will get different paltform from events occuring in our college

When we reach first year a bed, table and chair is allotted but latter we wont get anything easily if fans or light get damaged sometimes we have to wait for long days, the meal quality its ok somedays and below average rest days, the rate for mess is too high almost 4500 per month if we take special all days, mess cuts are available in both mens hostel and Ladies hostel but in mens hostel to get mess cut minimum 5 consecutive days needed. In some canteen inside the compound discount is available for students for meal and snacks. Rented rooms are avilable just outside the compound

This college is the second last college i applied and i got admission in the last round here, my interest to be part in health field made me drop civil engineering. I had only applied in government college. In compare to other government college like thrivandrum, kozhikode snd other i rate kannur as second last in best government dental college. I couldnt get admission in other college because i didnt get enough score in neet entrance exam. To get admission here one have to write neet entrance exam when i got admission the cut off mark was 540.but now it hss been increased to about 580.After getting alloted you can contact college office to know which all the certificate are needed and needed to bring fees money including pta fund.

Each clinical department have 5-6 faculty other than hod. While on posting each patient case is monitored by each faculty during the timeperiod, so the interaction between faculty and student will develope very quickly and it is very helpfull to learn the procedures quickly and effectively. Each year there are two internal exams and one model exam conducted by the college. Qualification mark is must in those exams to attend the universty exam. So we should so seriois in all exams. So it will be so stressfull!

Both men hostel and ladies hostels gyms are available, but the facilities are limited, there is no campus timing but for ladies hostel the night curfew is there from 10 pm but in emergency situation one can go out by entering there name in special register. There is no much hang out space but thre is places called nucleus and ambhi theatre to hand out. Synthetic track and football ground is available in our campus along with volleyball court and cricket nets is also available. Badminton court is also available in mens hostel and in front of pharmacy college compound, to go outside with in the range of 15 km there is several spots including beaches, waterfalls, ponds, etc
