NIT Raipur review

I got this course by marks not by choice and I personally don't like it . The curriculum provides a lot of theoretical knowledge about real world application , in area of improvement I think there has to be particular book for each subjects one only one book for one subject and it is of our department who teaches as , so that each student can assess same material , there is one semester for 6 month and difficulty level is somewhat upper medium.

Paid internships are only obtained by particular selection process , like aptitude then interviews . There are many internships which is without stipend are taken by students directly by the help of college NOC certificates.

Placements in my College is pretty good , from 6 sem onwards students became eligible for campus placements , there is a alot of companies which visited our college such as Vedanta, vipro, Capgemini , reliance industrial etc . I'm not exactly sure but highest package last year was around 50-60 los average are about 7-8 lpa. Good percent of students are getting placements

As I am ST candidate for me there is a approx 6000-7000 fee per sem and as for hostel and its approx 60000 , fee in 1st year is higher but I didn't remember the exact amount and from which is good amount of fee is refunded based on the parent income .The college provides me scholarship in 1st year of 1lakhs approx in second year i got 50k

There is a library in the college and projectors are present in each classroom , sports activities are good although there is not good ground for each sports recently our college has win inter nit in football , there are a lot of clubs in this college some of them are sourya , think India , rajbhasa etc.

In hostel we are provided with a single room with three person sharing in room there is bed chair table for each , in mess meal there is breakfast in morning lunch in afternoon and dinner at night also snacks at before night, hostel is alloted based on the spi of a student , since there is not enough space for all students .b

I applied for many other National level colleges but only got NIT Raipur based on my very low rank and state reservation , the admission process for my College is simple you got alloted based on your JEE main exam scores . When you give JEE mains and scores good percentile you have to register in Jossa counseling and if you not alloted any slots then you have to register in csab counseling they are all based on your JEE main exam result , there is no any prosess for in this college than this.

There are 5-6 sub each sem plus two lab subject. I don't consider faculties of our department good or bad but I don't like there teaching styles , they come open ppt read it and its over . I am hindi medium student but faculties teaching in English so its difficult for me to understand so I avoid lecture I only present there for attendence because there is a 75 percent attendence criteria . There is a 4 units for each subjects and 2 units come in mid sem of 15-15 marks and total 4 units come in end sem of 5-5-20-20 marks . After 1 year when we enter our core subjects scoring marks is very difficult in some subjects and subjects are very easy.

Gym of college is not good very small cafeteria somewhat well library is also well in public areas there is a garden which is quite good . Closing Timing for is 9 PM and for is 10 PM . There is chaupati in front of college which is good and the locality is good
