I would like to say that come to nit jamshedpur and get the launching pad ready for any compititive exam like GATE , IES, IAS. Since, you can plan your studies in a lonely room to its best effect.students are quite satisfied from the college
Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical branch is one of the most preferred branch of nit jamshedpur. I also indulged myself with the same thinking. And i am glad to say that i am quite satisfied by the course curriculum. It is required to update the syllabus a little. There are 8 semester during the course and each semester consists of two examination(mid sem and end sem}.
Placement Experience
This the best part which attract every student towards nit jamshedpur to have mechanical branch. Last year the placement was quite awesome. Companies like amazon, tata motors, tata steel etc selected some of the deserving candidates. And there are other hundreds of companies which organise placement drive in our college. Last year 79 out of 87 students from mechanical engineering got placed. Yes internship drive is also conduted in the third year , and selecties get around 10-40k during their intern.
College Events
Our college is rich in events. There are a lot of branch events as well as cultural fests , technomanagement fest, that go along with the academics thoughout the year. Ojass(technomanagement fest )is the 2nd largest fest of the northern india.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government institution our college has to follow the fee structure designed by government officials. Basically yearly tution fee is around 125k, and 70k for hostel mess and others. Also students with annual income less than 100k also get fee remission on producing relevant documents.
Fees and Financial Aid
After getting enrolled in NIT Jamshedpur you need not to worry about the fees , as everyone will aurely get loans for their study expanses during the course period. If you belong to any state, you will get scholarahip as well from your state government.
Campus Life
A sports meet named URJA , is conducted every year in the month of november. It is a three day long event where every kinds of event are organised. Labs are not that great. Most of the equipment are much older and they need to be changed.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is the best thing in our college. Every student gets their separate room.also the hostep is cleaned from time to time. We also have a common hall in each floor that can be used for conducting meetings and other stuffs.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes alumni network is very powerful of nit. Alums are always there for our support during any placement procedure or any other matter. They visit every year to our college to relive the emotions they felt in their past.
Admission
JEE MAINS exam is conduted every year throughout india. Qualifying this exam with around 150 marks will secure your place in nit jamshedpur mechanical branch.Now this exam has been splitted in two phases. You can appear in the exam twice a year and your better score will be considered for your ranking.
Faculty
As we all know that in every pond if there are some fishes ,there will be some worms as well. Some faculties are best faculties from all over india but at the same time there are some newly joined ad-hoc faculties which do fulfill the expectations of our prestigious institution.
